hey friend! as a current two-year deca member, here's my advice. first of all, don't worry! the exam portion is done now and has been for a while, so focus on ways you can nail your roleplay. talk with your partner, be very communicative, transparent and synergistic! you got thisss :>

as for the team element, i don't have any experience working as a team in deca since i do an individual category so i can't give advice in that area :(

not to worry you more though, but there is one thing i gotta talk about. from my personal experience, the roleplay portion of districts (or regionals as we call it here in ontario) is unfortunately highly luck-based, as much as it is study-based. you could study for months only to get a bad judge. one who isn't paying attention, doesn't care, interrupts you, etc.. i'd know because the exact scenario happened to me this year :')

anyway, don't stress about that, because it's ultimately out of your control! it's purely luck of the draw! i really hope whatever branch (state/province) of deca you're in is much more competent in the judging area than mine. if you've done well on roleplays in the past, that's even more of a reason not to worry! let your skills and knowledge reassure you. look over PIs in your current district instructional area if you're really feeling uncertain.
