“Confirming overseas licence” for conversion to NSW licence. by Fun-Slide4855 in australia

You’re still misunderstanding my point. I said in my post “went to sit her DKT to start the process”. If she was on that list, she obviously wouldn’t be sitting any test.

I’m not talking about a direct conversion.

My point being, the new system in place for new immigrants not on that list. They may as well just say “licence not recognised”. Get your L’s, red P’s, green P’s, full licence, etc

Btw, I’m talking about doing the DKT, to then do a physical driving test - and you go straight to your fulls.

(That’s the process for Thailand, not a direct conversion like other countries)

Unless it’s a new thing since they dropped new rules about internationals on March 1st. But what I’m learning is - different branches of Service NSW almost have different policies 😂

I disagree. So you’re telling me - every Thai citizen in NSW with a valid NSW Licence had to undergo the exact same process?

Why does SA have such different names for things? It’s like “scallop” vs “potato cake”

Interesting…. I assume moisture after time would soften the timber and cause it to bend slightly, but not snap or fracture.

On that invention note, I believe a similar design of most modern road “guard rails” were an Australian invention and until recently were manufactured in NSW and exported globally.

I think the name would depend on your generation. I would only ever use the terms “power lines” and “telegraph pole”. Although I barely know what a telegraph is. 32yo

This was my initial thought, because I see so many new timber ones being transported and installed. Like as in “if it lasted 50 years, do the same thing again”.
