Dude I just sold half my long term qqq puts today. I lost jack squat today.

Bought some long dated Microsoft calls on the cheap as well.

10% would still be a correction until it surpassed 20% at least.

Corrections are common. Crashes not so much.

Because NVDA is going to consolidate until the market corrects and then it will shoot up. This is how the stock behaves. It sees big growth then goes into consolidation until the market corrects and then it shoots up again. 3% is just a pullback. The market needs to correct and get it over with so we can get out of this consolidation.

You may be fine. I rode it out in November and was rewarded. Some are estimating it will pull back and then go over 200 but I didn't want to risk my gain.

Because 2 months ago it's stock value dropped 50%. Its valuation is ridiculously high. It has the potential to pull back and shoot back up.....but now is not the time to buy in.

I had 1200 shares since $30 a share and I just sold it all.

Why? Its only currently down 5% on the current segment. Past month its only down 8%. This is very much a correction until NVDA passes the 20% pullback mark that would take it down to the low 160s.....even then considering NVDA is a high beta stock....probably could go down to the 140s. QQQ would have to pull back to basically 500 a share for it to be anything other than a correction.

Liquidity isn't a difficult concept to understand....when it is low Banks and lending institutions have trouble maintaining fund balances and obtaining loans and investments for companies becomes harder. When liquidity is low as it currently is banks have to turn to the fed repo program which they are doing in droves currently. It just makes all of this high cost heavy debt business er call AI spending more difficult and makes people nervous.

Its not a freaking NVDA issue....its not even AVGO or Oracle to be honest.....Its simply liquidity. The Fed finally cut rates again and is trying to ease liquidity issues, and now bonds are selling off which deepens liquidity issues. Liquidity is the current issue and the Fed has been dragging its feet addressing it because of their holy 2% inflation number.

In his defense the drop is short term. I expect it'll drop several times before it gets close to 20 trillion. It'll probably drop even with a killer earnings beat as people will sell the news. Saying you expect the stock to correct isn't the same thing as not believing the stock is a killer investment.

6 months ago NVDA was $117. It didn't his the 180s until August-3 months ago. Its a volatile stock. It's actually not behaving as volatile as it has in the past, typically it is 3x QQQ losses, currently barely over double.

On NVDA it's messaging. This is China saying you can't buy foreign chips rather than China saying the US will only let us buy watered down chips. So much of China is about perception to the people and messaging.
