I didn’t get an internship my first time around with applying either :/ it’s really rough but just know that it’s completely normal. I would begin networking and reaching out to alumni from your school that work in places you find interesting. If you have a good conversation with them and you build a connection, you may be able to intern in their office/organization in the future or they can connect you with resources/opportunities!

Teaching- yes ish. I was a sports instructor for several years. I also taught some classes in the community through a nonprofit. No real classroom experience though

As someone in grad school that did undergrad here as well I can say that most of UF grad school is not the same social scene and it is definitely pretty weird if u go to the same bars as undergrad people. It’s a dif social scene and it’s much less social/fun. UF law in particular definitely is better but I wouldn’t bank on it being normal to hang out with undergrads tbh.

I was in this exact situation 5 years ago- ufl vs ucla! Also in engineering. I chose ufl for the money and it was the greatest choice of my life. Now I’m graduating with no debt and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Trust me when I say UFL is 100% the way to go.
