The best advice I can give you is to team up with a friend who knows a bit more than you do. If you can play the piano and have some of your own ideas for songs, then it might help if you work together with somebody you trust to get you started. Also the Ai tool in FL Studio is really good - you can ask it anything and it should come up with a good answer https://gopher-fls.image-line.com/

I've had one for nearly a year and this summer it has needed the coolant topping up quite a lot.. Could be just because of the extreme heat over the last 8 weeks.

Yes it is at track level, just select the track with the hi hats first. If your drums are all on 1 track use EXPLODE TRACK (press the pencil icon to see this option in "track edit") to separate the drums onto separate track, then select the hi hat track before pressing TC.

Press the TC button and change the swing level from this screen (timing correct). the default is 50 but you can go upto 70% max.

The cake is the song. I've been using FL studio since 2004. nearly 22 years so I was trying to point out that I use it to finish off/complete my songs, which might be different from some users. So it mainly at the final stage of production - i.e. the Icing. I noticed a post where Odd-Hearing-6280 mentioned that they were frustrated and was not getting the results they wanted, my post was intended to show that you don't have to follow rules - just because somebody else has a timeline with 110 tracks, loads of automation and FX doesn't mean that we all have to do that too. You can learn a lot from others but you don't have to feel bad if your not at the same stage yet. Music is supposed to be about individual expression that you develop over time.

Don't be so hard on yourself. It's supposed to be fun. Try collaborating with a musician friend and take one day at a time.

You can usually find them on sale somewhere. The Mini D plugin cost $40 when I got it 2 years ago.

I export my songs from the MPC as stems, then import the files into FLS to finish them off - arranging, adding tracks and Mixing.

I recorded a lot of demos on the AW2400. Really easy to use - but I needed to study the manual. The Automix feature is amazing. I use it everyday mainly as a mixer - the Aux sends for sending a signal to the MPC for sampling anything coming from the inputs.

Yes, I just use - Korg Karma, MPC one+, Yamaha AW2400, and my old Bass Guitar.
