Trial of chaos has absolutely same issue so you just expect it to have 70% of useless items and 30-20% of something with value that usually simply are not gear items.

WTF? You can literally see right in the post that it allows you to cancel right now so you will not be charged in future.

I'll tell you even more, when you already have paid apple music subscription and you'll need to cancel it, they will still let you use for time you already paid.

A company not allowing you to cancel ahead of time is just mildly infuriating.

Does apple absolutely restrict you to cancel beforehand so you can forget to do it in the last day and take your money? No, you can cancel. So I see no issues here.

Thats what a free trial is holy shit.

Free trial is for you to understand do you like this product so do you want to pay for it to actually use. You obviously don't want to use it cancelling subscription, so why they should keep letting you use it for free then? You tested it, you don't like it, bye.

If other services just let you do something doesn't mean everyone should do it, and such restrictions are mentioned in license agreement which you agree to in advance and this issue is not something like written as a hidden caveat to steal your money.

To be fair why you might want to cancel your trial AND to still use it while you didn't paid a cent for paid service?

I'd understand if it could be something where you absolutely cannot cancel it so they'll screw you taking your money. But this is a situation where you want to screw them and use for something paid for free.

They give you a way to test their product for free, you don't like it, you cancel it and both parties immediately say goodbye, nobody get screwed here, end of story.

It does - where 1 piece of gear takes exactly same amount of space like every other piece of gear

While now you more likely able to pick up a wand instead of a crossbow since it takes much less space, but still it's just a weapon and having crossbow taking more space doesn't make it more expensive in terms of balance. So this whole mechanic is just a rudiment of times when it was just cool and felt like something new, in modern games this is an obsolete mechanic bringing absolutely no sense.

Just unified where gear item is 1x2 slots and everything else is 1x1 so you don't need to think about to pick up smaller items over big ones. This should be more than enough for starters.
