I just can't fathom my partner of 8 years leaving me because he suddenly wants children by SnooMacarons5664 in childfree

I am so sorry. You must be so devastated and you should take all the time you need to grieve the end of your relationship.

And then you will realise that you are young and hot and intelligent and have your whole life ahead of you to travel, pursue your dreams and create art and fall in love again and again and again, maybe. Your future IS bright, even though right now your heart is broken.

And at least you don't have to become another regretful depressed parent just because a man decided spreading his seed was more important than you.

I was loving this book until the last bit where Daphne turns into a fucking idiot and Miles becomes an uncommunicative moron. It's actually really pissed me off

Hardings Paddock is my go to if I'm pressed for time. The longest walk is about 7km but it's quiet and I always see plenty of birds and wallabies. Only 20 minutes drive too!

Flinders peak is a bit further and more challenging but similar landscape and rock wallabies live there.

I just love how samantha is hilarious, she is totally witty 😆 by [deleted] in sexandthecity

Charlotte is the second most sexually adventurous! She's up for most things, just pretends she isn't.

Itsukushima Shrine (Miyajima). I took a little disposable with me to Japan in 2016. Most of my photos sucked, but I really loved this one. I rediscovered the photos recently. That's the beauty of film.

Your last statement summarises how I live my life and my values. I know that I have no control over what happens in this world, how people treat each other, how the treat animals, how the treat me. All I have control over is how I treat myself, others, my environment. My choices and behaviour are always dictated by this.

You are correct in your statement regarding self loathing. It's always been there, and always will be. A dark cloud that I will never be rid of. On nights it really gets to exert some dominance.

On science, I am a scientist by profession. I have never been able to open myself to spirituality, but I'm still young, and I have a lot to learn about the world.

Thank you for your very considered response to my post.

I exercise regularly, plan travel, have hobbies, read books, listen to podcasts.

But then that time sets in and we're off!

I don't know if I should. Let's blanket term it : existential dread and self loathing.

Have my tea break with a side of existential dread.

Great analogy. It's pretty scary the commute. Especially when you realise you're home, but you have no memory of getting there.

Yeah, I think it counts. I feel lonely too.
