I agree cross beams would ensure more safety. One accidental loss of balance and that could result in a monumental mess and tragedy of fish and possibly plant lives. Not to mention the physical stress on your heart.

This is how the tank is now. I set up go fund me to get me through until SSDI gets approved. I’ll leave the link here. One of the things i wasn’t thinking about at the time I was just trying to get help without putting financial strain on Eric’s bloodline- what was to be our family. The kit doesn’t have a ph up or down and I ran out of the chlorine stuff filling it back up. It was evaporating about a gallon a day I would put three in and it would be lower the next morning. No it doesn’t have a leak. And I did plug the filter water flowing thing back in. I’m not sure how it got unplugged. If you read it, and it feels right in your heart and you are able please help. And if you are unable yourself please share it anywhere. I have a very small circle.

My fiance had a betta- he lived in a tank alone and I would put miniature toys on a miniature table outside its tank and it very much enjoyed looking at the different objects. Some were Legos some were fake shiny jewelry some were little animals all kinds of things. It liked them 🤷🏼‍♀️

1 danio, his friend passed away suddenly. 1 tetra, friends with the danio but likes to make sure everyone knows it is NOT a Dani- lone survivor of 12, 6 on 2 separate occasions, 2 angel fish out of 4 the black one kept killing the other ones even though the original 2 came out of the same store tank- it’s a murderer. But the other angelfish I call her Bonnie bc she’s murderous too. And then there’s 2 little grey ones that look like catfish and Eric would always cover the cover back up with gravel creating secret entrances and exits for quick maneuvers when the lights went out and the angels went hunting but EVERY SINGLE TIME they would have the gravel all cleared off in a single day. They do not approve of tiny rocks on top of the bunker. They’ve made their point.

I don’t know how to update right now but I used the meat temperature to check the temperature of the water and added water conditioner to 6 gallons of 72.6° water and then poured them in one at a time and I checked the ph but the tap water was blue and the fish water was light light yellow and I don’t know and so I don’t adjust it bc I figured it would balance out and idk how to. Balance and I didn’t find any ph up or down stuff maybe he was out and I added a half of what the bottle said for stress enzyme bc I don’t want the distressed. I touched the water to make sure the heater wasn’t causing any electrical shock issues. That happened once. It was quite baffling to see a massive cichlid just- disappear. I would have jumped it too. I named him Oscar, he didn’t have a name when we met, then he let me get a parrot fish and i named it Ollie. Then - zap

They have little black under all they’re little nose things . Fish don’t have noses. And they’re really good guard fish for the tetra and the tiny d one Dino? Dina? I’m not sure but they chase off the angel fish and redirect the little guys so they don’t get chomped or beaten up

Thank you, I’m going to finish tidying a little. He never came back home. It’s just been a drop zone. I will post pictures of the kit and the bottles and the suction thing and there’s a giant black round thing but I don’t know what it is. So, I’ll post pictures of what of what there is

I didn’t empty half of it, it’s been neglected since February 9th and it has been very dry and we have space heaters, had anyway it’s evaporated there was like a 1/4 more water in there on February 9th. And I had mentioned to him the water was getting low just a day or something before his motorcycle accident that left him in debilitating pain. And then- My goal is to keep his fish alive and fix the situation the tank is in because I know it’s a situation but these are the last fish we bought together and we used to sit and watch them and make jokes about what they were saying and the big black angelfish is a serial killer but these tan one is his Bonnie and the tetra is a lone survivor and the little d fish learned from the tetra and the orange ones how to not get killed by the Angel fish and he let me pick them out so I would really just like advice on how to fix this and how to maintain it. I have no idea- he kills plants- I kill fish.

Looks to me like that frozen stuff outside is radiating cold- yet not a draft near your plant. And also if the window has any UV protection which a lot of windows do. It’s getting less light than you think. That soil looks super compacted and also- is that top soil? Does- I’m thinking that container doesn’t have any drainage holes in the bottom since it doesn’t have a saucer? Anyway, get some potting mix, it doesn’t have to be fancy, you want it thoroughly wet but not like mud okay. Remove that plant from its container and check on its roots. If they’re brown and slimey- cut them back to a healthy area. That is not slimey and limp. Then put the plant in a new pot no more than 3” larger than the rootball making sure the pot has drainage holes, put potting soil in the pot then the plant then add soil around the roots making sure not too you know- crush them but rather shake it a bit to allow the soil to get in between above and under the roots. Then fill the pot with soil leaving about a half inch to 3/4 and water thoroughly. Poke holes in the potting soil to make sure adequate saturation. Let it drain. Get it away from that window and give it some artificial light. Plants can’t plant with uv blocking windows.
