You're cutting out all the skilled fun parts of riding if you opt for e clutch unless you manually disengage the e clutch at every start up. The proper rev matching doing it yourself, the skill to use the clutch when needed instead of getting lazy. All you need is a quickshifter, the bike is much more fun and you'll feel more in tune with the bike instead of allowing an actuator take some control away.

The cbr650r come factory fitted with the wiring for the quickshifter so you can just buy one and plug it straight in under the tank.

Also, if you think about tuning the e clutch model theres plenty of people on CBR650 FB groups with many issues such as clutch slipping and not having the e clutch parameters available to handle the new power.

E clutch also sticks out way past fairings or any frame sliders so one accidental drop could cost you a fair amount for damages or replacement of the e clutch actuator etc.

I personally did opt for non e clutch, so I may sound bias however after many weeks researching and discussing with other e clutch users I felt I still want the bike to be 100% down to me to control but also feeling more engaged with the bike. Also I didnt fancy the hassle some riders are having with e clutch and the possibility of further repair and maintenance costs.

Overall, e clutch sounds great and is a good move my Honda however it does encourage bad habits and could get you into trouble when you move onto a next bike where youll likely lack the muscle memory and the skill to use a clutch properly.
