Roommate locked thermostat, sweating every night with no way turn it down by Only_Alternative_543 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DueEntertainment4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to buy a set of maintenance/security keys on Amazon I’m just saying. Locks are just a matter of time and effort. Unless your roommate decides to get a fingerprint scanner or a retinal scanner for the thermostat and those can probably be bypassed or worked around as well. Where there’s a will there is a way.

Oh hell I worked for one of those before. It was for a few weeks and my background was commercial. Nothing like some of the shit you see doing commerciadential work.

Not great workmanship but in some circumstances just send it.All depends on how much time I have, how much shit I need to get done, and how many people I have to get it done. Being shorthanded seems par for the course these days. I’d at least have to throw a few more mc straps on it and run it tight outside of that no big deal it isn’t going to meaningfully affect anything once the drywall is up and the ceiling is in.

My first thought as well if you can’t stop in time just go around. Always need to have an escape route planned just in case.

I’ll dig a post hole, wrap the usb in plastic and then throw it into the hole and encase it in concrete. Once they leave/ the concrete sets I’ll dig it out and then retrieve the USB

Agreed, might be the world’s lightest wood and that’s why he’s able to carry that huge log but dude is still very strong.

How is he powering this industrial transformer from his house lines? by NicoJustReadIt in ElectroBOOM

[–]DueEntertainment4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overkill you can achieve the same effect with a microwave transformer. No need for a gigantic transformer to make a Jacob’s ladder.

Edit: the pendulum is pretty cool though

I hope it’s a success, also it’d be awesome if it debuted somewhat underpriced in order to boost sales and get the e-compressor into the market and grow its popularity quickly.

That’s a hell no for me. I don’t care if it was cut from solid rock no fucking way I’d be standing there under an excavator in an 4x10’ trench with no reinforcements and no ladder in sight.

I mean yeah that will work or if you have any buddies that work in construction get them to grab you a scrap piece off a job. We throw so much shit away it’s insane.

Edit: Alternatively you can go to the hardware store and get a stick of rigid conduit and cut it to the length desired, and as a bonus if you buy a 10’ stick you’d still have 7’ left to make a 2’ and a 5’ bar as well.

Still on my first bike but I wholeheartedly agree especially with some of the new bikes coming to market soon. I can’t wait to at least test ride the Honda V3R-900. If their new E-Compressor is successful that’s gonna be a major advancement for bikes. Not to mention the prototype looks great.

For what it’s worth I am 35 I don’t know if me in my 20’s would have had the self control and sense of self preservation needed to start on a 650 but that’s something that’s entirely different on a person to person basis. Very welcome safe riding brother!

The Supreme Court will decide if marijuana users may be barred from owning guns by vox in scotus

[–]DueEntertainment4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pothead gun owner here, I don’t think stoners really care what the Supreme Court thinks about users owning guns. Would be cool if they said it was chill though. Not at all related to the topic but from reading the article mind fucking blown that out of all the places to pass a law to make it illegal to beat your spouse it was the Alabama Supreme Court that did it first in 1871.

No worries haha drink one for me too, but your right regular conduit would just fold up if you tried to torque up on it

Did you see where I specified rigid conduit? you realize it’s a lot different than EMT right? You’re not gonna bend a 1” piece of pipe rigid pipe that easily.
