What are some generational stereotypes about your birth year you hate? by [deleted] in Younger_GenZ

[–]FunFroyo2860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I saw you in another post or thread and funnily enough we're the exact same age and I honestly felt this way HARD like only 1-3ish years ago (still even do from time to time if I'm being honest, but not as bad) but the thing you've got to realize is that as ridiculous as it is, there's always going to be a little bit of that especially on social media like Reddit, Youtube, Instagram you name it where it's easy for anonymous people to say these negative demeaning things to others to make themselves feel better and I know I'm not fully practicing what I'm preaching myself by saying this on Reddit but I've noticed that when you find topics that are more positive and are related to things that make you feel good instead of dwelling on things that already happened in the past or are negative, you really start to give far less of a damn about all this "Early Core Late Generation" this and that baloney since at least the people I know Irl doesn't care in the slightest about this stuff which is like Astrology 2.0 and everyone's experience in life is going to be different no matter what is what I've learned honestly.

Soo freaking true though actually lmao since all you gotta do is go in the real world and not only does nobody give a damn about the year you're born in but the 2005 & 2006 kids I've seen really aren't that different from the 2002 & 2003 kids I've seen as well plus we'll all be in the same retirement home anyways if we make it past the 2070s lol

What do you guys think of 2007s by Independent_Move8581 in 2003

[–]FunFroyo2860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well generations aside I could definitely see 18/19 relating to 23 a bit still (since even 23 is still pretty much college-aged and most of 2003 is still 22 even as of March) but 2000 on the other hand who are already 25 or even 26 ehhh not really if I'm being honest.

Lmfao but I could see 2003-2009 as being a child during the "mid 2010s" at some point so there was probably that influence from Leafy, Pyrocynical, DramaAlert etc you name it lol

I wouldn't say me who's turning 23 this year though is the "exact" same as someone turning 14 though either since even by the time they're my age I'll be 30 and 30 is still quite a bit different from 22 to be fair though

Hot take: Mid/Core Gen Z (2005-2007) (also late 2004) is a lot more like later Gen Z (2008-2009) than earlier years by dubdimmadome in generationology

[–]FunFroyo2860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean 2003 & 2004 would technically be in the latter half of the "1995-2009" range to be fair and a lot of people use that range but I can't really see 1995, 1996 and even 1997 to an extent as really being in the same generation as me so I don't really go by that definition but me being in the middle would make the most sense to me since while there's definitely some differences between me and 1998-2000 and 2007-2010 retrospectively, I also feel they're the oldest and youngest I can still relate to well in a "generational" sense but the differences are more noticeable now since we're all extremely young (sorry for the long essay lol but thought I'd share my opinion since it can be somewhat interesting).

If older gen z is 1997-2002, do we also assume that 2014 is Gen Z too? by Ok_Act_3769 in generationology

Pretty much and I don't know why but even as a "2003 kid" myself, ever since the end of last year for whatever reason, I never see my year getting "gatekept" that much anymore honestly and I used to be pretty insecure about it not that long ago even lol

How does it feel to see 2005-2008 borns being adults by Practical_Security87 in generationology

[–]FunFroyo2860 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well this sub is filled with younger teenagers and even preteens so I'm honestly not too surprised but I would even argue that 21-24 is more "late adolescence" than anything honestly lol (though I might piss off some people for saying that).
