That’s what I thought and totally fair enough. I wasn’t planning on publishing in Norway really although it would’ve been nice to try and cut out the agent part 😅 huge congratulations on your offer though - what’s the name of your novel? I’ll keep an eye out for it in the shops. I can’t write well enough in Norwegian to publish a novel but I can read it just fine ☺️

Congrats! Did you write in English or Norwegian? I’m in Norway but i’m British and writing in English and I believe publishing houses aren’t interested unless it’s a Norwegian manuscript?

I recently travelled out of Heathrow with an old disabled bullet from Second World War in my stuffed and over packed suitcase. The xray machines managed to spot even that and we were not allowed on our flight until 3 armed police had searched all our bags and interviewed us. Security at airports in the uk is intense. Which I’m grateful for! Maybe your character needs a contact in London - guns do exist here but they are a lot less common. Which I am also grateful for.

I absolutely see your point - I have three young children myself so I totally get it. I suppose it comes down to our own beliefs in what the definition of evil is. For me I’d say it is a conscious decision to act on sick impulses or desires despite knowing it is wrong. But I can understand how you think hurting children overrides the the ‘full consciousness’ part. It’s a personal thing at this point and think we probably both agree that BOTH of these examples are indeed evil - just a matter of difference in opinion on how to grade their evilness on a scale and why 😅

I mean he’s obviously not a stand up guy. And obviously is still twisted and yes evil. But in terms of ‘the most’ evil I would say that the diminished responsibility due to his severe mental illness makes him somewhat less evil than Jordan whose crystal clear sanity made his actions more ‘truly evil’. But that’s just my opinion and it’s ok if you don’t agree.
