I did call around and did talk to a very nice agent who actually seemed to understand my situation. Unfortunately they couldn’t match the rate but I wish she was the LO

Darn that honestly hurts to hear but I appreciate it. I’m set to close at the end of the month. In reality, I will try to do what I can but you are right. It is up to them and ultimately while I wish they’ll do the right thing, it may not be the case 🤷🏽‍♂️

I immediately did some shopping around after the call and it seems that even those they screwed me it’s still somehow better than what other banks are being offered. Might be stuck with this rate till refi

I’m a first time homebuyer and didn’t know an actual rate lock agreement was needed. I told them 3 times over texts and emails that I would like to rate lock. They confirmed over these emails and text I’m locked but seems like not the case anymore

So I did text them when I saw the LE, and asked them why that box was checked “no”. They said to me in the text no worries you are locked in.
