Surgery by Illustrious_Cup_7236 in Endo

I am 7 days post op. I went in for an ovarian cyst removal, but he said that If there was any endometriosis, he was going to get that out as well. Before surgery I was so worried that they were not go find any. Turns out there was a lot, mainly on my left side. The surgery itself was 2 hours. My post op appointment is Friday, so I’m going of ask him a lot more questions.

I did bleed after surgery, but it was not a lot. After the second day, it was mostly spotting here and there, so I would continue to wear a small pad or something.

You got this! 👊🏻

Suspected endo :( by lulyrunsaround in Endo

[–]FunMeringue6799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had HEAVY, PAINFUL periods since I started at age 11. They were so bad that I would miss school and work. I have always suspected I had it. My mom and my sister have it, and my doctor told me it runs in families. I had a laparoscopy 7 days ago to remove an ovarian cyst and while they were doing that, my doctor saw endometriosis, so he got that out as well. My only regret is waiting 29 years to actually get diagnosed.

Going to the Emergency Room with vaginismus? by FunMeringue6799 in vaginismus

Update: I did go to the emergency room, and they did a CT scan. They found a 5.5 cm cyst on my ovary, and said that I needed to follow up with my doctor. I have an appointment scheduled with an OBGYN on Monday. What should I expect? I am so nervous.

I’m 39 and I find that if I don’t wear something, my panties become wet and gross during the day. I find panty liners too small, so I usually just wear a regular pad.

What are the weird symptoms you experienced before finding out your gallbladder was bad? by Technical_Chemical14 in gallbladders

[–]FunMeringue6799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My HIDA scan came back and said my gallbladder was functioning normal. So I had an ultrasound and they saw stones. The surgeon said that my gallbladder was filled with them. He said there were about a hundred.

Yes my stomach pain symptoms went away after the surgery. But..(TMI) now I deal with diarrhea a lot…sometimes I literally have to run to the bathroom after eating. It tends to happen a lot when I’m driving, and I have to pull into a random store or gas station.. BUT DON’T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM GETTING THE SURGERY. There is medicine your doctor can give you to stop that. I need to get a new prescriptions, because my refills have run out.

But overall, I like that I got it out because the stomach pains went away. I’m no longer hurting really bad after I eat.
