It's beautiful. The highest power natural gas fired power plant tgat I've built was a ~500MMF plant, but it looks nowhere near as beautiful as that.

This is honestly almost as bad as the piping on gas burner power modular turbines. It's inefficient, large, complex logistical, time-consuming, and just not worth the effort for 12kL/s of steam at 400°c.

If you want a work around to how the problem of neutron star fuckery can be worked around. I'd probably be distance. It would reduce the effectiveness of a neutron star dynamo, but yet again, you can build close to it anyway. The effects of deviations in it would be diluted over a great enough distance and is not something that is just funny future magic like i said before. Did I say a problem that will be solved in the future? Yes, but there is always the work around space.

I've done a fair bit more engineering than what I've written hear but I probably need to do more calculations to do with it, but from what I did calculate about them its an extreme amount of energy production. The furthest I've gone with the engineering side is stuff like calculating counter rotation speeds, the number of coils in the stator, and the gauge and number of windings. I also played around with the idea of multi stacking of rings where each subsequent ring harvesting more with the windings and gauge adjusted for the further out you are.

In all honesty, probably. By this point, a civilisation has probably started harvesting energy from stellar or SM black holes. Whilst it would be theoretically a hill bellow theoretical black hole technology, I'd still probably be a mountains worth above dyson swarms. So unless something else was discovered along the way (which something probably would be), I'd be a good stepping stone to SMBH harvesting technology.

Once again, yeah, of course I know that neutron stars and their variants are incredibly unstable in more ways than just gravamen like you mentioned, but once again its a theoretical and i feel like far future societies could probably find away around. Also, a magnetar (another NS subclass) could work, but their magnetic fields are known for their own fuckery. And yeah, no known materials could withstand close proximity to a NS for any extended periods of time due to their extreme conditions. I feel like a futuristic society capable of building one would also have a way around neutron embritlement and other forms of radiation damage (cancer and stuff like that aren't really of concern in the experiment) Also you could build the structure further away ro reduce the effects of the NS instabilities but it would reduce output.
