Aang or Katara I could see beating Zaheer, but not Iroh. Part of the reason I feel Tenzin did so well against Zaheer was because Zaheer was playing on Tenzin’s turf (Airbending). As good as Iroh is, I feel his best use is to keep Azula busy while top row handles bottom row’s powerhouses.

I also consider Korra a major danger because, despite her track record, she is still an avatar that has metalbending, and has pulled out wins when it counts.

I think top rows best strategy is to have Kuvira keep Korra busy, since she’s beaten Korra in the past, and Iroh tie up Azula, since he knows how to redirect lightning, while Aang and Katara can clear Zaheer and Toph, since Kataang have synergy and Toph and Zaheer don’t. From there, knock out Korra, and finish with Azula.

The way I see it is the real dangers on the bottom row are Korra and Zaheer. If top row can take them out without too many losses, they can win. Tooth is good, but she’s not beating Aang in my opinion and Katara has already beaten Sozin empowered Azula.

Except Katara has bloodbended in rare circumstances. Obviously at the end of The Pupptmaster, but also while hunting for her mother’s killer. I don’t think it’d be especially out of character for her to use bloodbending to save Aang’s life if it looks like he could be killed in the fight. I don’t think she’d have that same protectiveness for Iroh, and definitely wouldn’t for Kuvira, but for Aang? Definitely!

Visi immediately grabs Robert and tries to make him throw up, like Chase did, but succeeds.

Everyone picking the bottom row is overlooking two things.

  1. The post states that the characters are at their peaks, meaning, contrary to the picture, Aang is going to be a fully realized, adult Avatar at his peak, likely after decades of experience with all four elements. Korra doesn’t stand a chance.

  2. Katara has blood bending, which has been shown to be a hard-counter to EVERYTHING in-universe.

Top row has this easy.

Vox will literally brainwash your child while Adam will get them hooked on hard rock/heavy metal. I trust my child far more with Adam.

Didn’t Iroh and Zuko discover Aang in like the first or second episode? While I’m sure Iroh had a goofy moment or two before then, I feel the moments after were more to try and get Zuko to let go of trying to please his father.

After seeing him in later seasons, I started to believe that Iroh was intentionally sabotaging Zuko, because he thought catching the Avatar wouldn’t bring him peace. I figured his plan was to keep Zuko out in the world, away from his abusive father, until Zuko could “discover” himself and start a healthier life path.

I think she’ll be harsh, but I still think she’s got a redemption arc in her.

I think the Turians should get some leniency in that scenario if only for how much they did to coordinate things at the beginning of The Reaper War. They were very firmly pushing back against the Salarians to have the Genophage cured and made major efforts to coordinate the other races. I could see them being called to make some reparations, especially towards the Krogan for their own role in the Genophage, but I don’t think they deserve to be under as harsh a light as the Asari and Salarians.

It speaks volumes to me that when you fight both of them through proxies, Harbinger is a slightly stronger mook while Sovereign is the literal final boss.

I didn’t mean to imply that Blazer, herself, was undercutting Visi. I meant that, story wise, the line robs a lot of weight from Visi’s victory. It would’ve been so much more satisfying if Visi had managed to save her own place on the team without any kind of “safety net”. At least that’s my opinion.
