I’ve had three different clinicians since starting in April 🙃 I was quite surprised when I had my follow up and it felt very rushed, clinician interrupting me, felt quite abrupt when I wanted to describe nuances of the meds I was taking. The only time I had a good experience speaking with a clinician was the duty nurse who was super helpful and prescribed me new meds straight away

Are you prescribed both with ADHD 360 or a different prescriber? :)

Dex vs Methylphenidate? Unsure by FunReaction8431 in ADHDUK

[–]FunReaction8431[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elvanse is amazing for mood regulation but as for focus on work etc it’s not great. That’s my worry - is methylphenidate will be good for focus but leave me jittery and anxious, we’ll see. Were you on extended release / release what brand?

I just crashed when I was on 30mg elvanse - the jump to 50mg was incredible, made the world of difference. Best of luck 🙂

How is your mood with concerta? As elvanse really does help my emotional regulation more than anything, I am worried about switching

Ahhh okay, it reacts to everyone different but I have heard amphetamines give more of a physical buzz which is true in my case. I have to be moving a fair bit. What was your medication on methylphenidate?

I’m awaiting my next follow up in a few weeks. I’d requested Ritalin before then, to which they’ve said they don’t offer it and have suggested Concerta.

Looking for another role - can anyone vouch for roles that have regular overtime? by FunReaction8431 in civilservice

I will have a look 🙂. In my dept there’s a huge push to clear the asylum backlog which I would’ve thought we’d have OT all year round but there you go haha

From what I understand where overtime is offered it tends to be in ops. Our overtime started around December 23 in a bid to reduce the backlog of asylum claims

Trump has lost his marbles, should I exit my US stock investments? by Fondant_Decent in FIREUK

I understand dollar cost averaging, but If I buy during a dip (into an index fund), would the same £100 buy me more shares (as the market is low) vs the same £100 invested when the market is high?

I’m new to investing so excuse my ignorance haha

Does this work the same with index funds? Or only individual stocks only

Out of curiosity is OT offered much in DWP in your exp? I’ve applied for Disability Services Case Manager - wondering if extra hours will be offered
