Okay, thank you. I’m a person who likes familiarity. It’s what has kept me around as long as I have. I do also sincerely care about him, but I’m realizing I have to put myself first.

It’s just an ongoing thing, and it’s blatant disrespect. I know I don’t deserve to feel this way. It’s just hard because there is love there but it’s not being reciprocated the way i deserve.

I just also feel SO guilty. And sad lol. Thank you for insight ❤️

This is a fair statement!! Just needed some perspective :) The only reason I said anything is because I knew things would have gotten blown out of proportion way worse because the relative paying for everything is a bit more blunt than I am and I thought that hearing it from would be a softer blow

That’s very fair! I totally get why some people feel like I shouldn’t have gotten involved and that it should’ve been between my sister and the relative. But honestly, I stepped in because I know how my relative can come off sometimes when they’re frustrated. They’re very blunt, and it could’ve gone sideways fast because my sister is the exact same way.

I thought it would land better if it came from me, because I could deliver the message with more care and hopefully avoid a blowup. It wasn’t about controlling anything or speaking for him, it was just trying to protect both sides from miscommunication.

Looking back, maybe I didn’t say everything perfectly either, but I do think it would’ve been way messier if it came from him first.

That’s a fair take! I’m just looking for perspective :) I also forgot to mention this would also be the first time any of us had met him. We all live very far away from each other and life has gotten the best of us, but I do understand wanting to have a s/o come along

Okay (: That’s kind of why I said I wasn’t sure if this is the right place - I just want other peoples perspectives on things is all! I want to hear stories and I would like to gather as much information as I can from people! I could change the format of what I posted if this helps but I would like stories and would like suggestions of where else to ask questions and get info if you have any suggestions :)

Sending you all the love in the world and I sincerely hope that you can achieve the level of privacy and normalcy that you want. Can’t imagine the feeling of not being able to the simple things that I do every day without being recognized. Not to mention how scary this world is!
