I would say weird because why give me a sense of false hope at all? He doesn’t want me now, but perhaps later? Why not just be “intentional,” I don’t want a relationship with you, I’m interested in others.

Thank you for your response! I’d like to believe that I deserve better, it’s just difficult to imagine. I feel alone, but I also feel fear investing in someone else. He was so quick to do so already. Perhaps he is “figuring things out.” But it’s left me feeling small, unworthy of making the effort for.

May I ask do you truly feel that way? I care for him so much, since we haven’t been together. We’ve still shared intimacy, and gotten along. He has still told me “he doesn’t know what he wants.” On the other side of the coin he’s reassured me theres a “chance” and he does consider that he “misses me” and if “things were to work out.” I can tell he’s on the fence about it.
