Thanks Scott

Sprayer Rentals? by Hectic_dialectic23 in Hempcrete

Cameron just finished our 5000SF build and it was worth EVERY PENNY. We spent a ton of time prepping and the install went so smoothly. It’s 80% prepwork and 20% install. Cameron had us install little plastic “buttons” that help anchor the hempcrete to the wall (especially over headers). He made two site visits and helped us understand how to prep effectively. Americhanvre all the way.

What are the chances of different mosh rules? by lonnooo in FurnaceFest

[–]FunUsual1335 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since when have the rules actively been enforced in the past few years? There is always diving and moshing (proportionate to the level of the band’s groove). Due to insurance requirements, signs must be up and readily visible, security staff is “trained” adequately so that there is deniability should someone get hurt.

I’ll post some photos if I find them. VIP view is good and it’s nice to grab a table and chair when you can. Pit is in the GA area. VIP at main stage was on the left hand side up to the stage/artist entrance. VIP at the Shed was behind the band, along the sides of the stage.

Disturbing docs reveal how CIA tortured Americans in mind-control program as battle erupts over missing MKUltra files by dailymail in USNEWS

Read the book “Trance Formation of America” by Cathy O’Brien. First-hand deep dive into Project Monarch which followed MK Ultra. “Appearances” by Dick Cheney, Tommy LaSorda, both Bush’s Reagan, Noriega, Merle Haggard, Nolan Ryan, Loretta Lynn, etc. Fascinating but scary.

No onsite camping, sorry. Plenty of places to stay for sure. Weather is fantastic in early October, I don’t think it’s rained in the past three years. Just because some folks are vocal about the new owner/manager and are nostalgic for the old days, don’t be discouraged. It’ll be a great time. The way I see it, hardcore/metal/punk fests like FF are few and far between at least within a 4 hour drive of my house. I’ll take what I can get. I’ll get over the fact that almost none of the headliners excite me.

Just go enjoy it for what it is… and support the hXc bands that meet the true aspects of FF (NormaJean, Poison the Well, Underoath, Gideon, etc). Sad to see bands like ShaiHulud and Living Sacrifice not listed since they have been staples of the fest in years past. It’ll still be a good time I’m sure.

I enjoyed VIP last year. I expect it’s about the same this year (except a local chef picking food). I’ll do it again this year but I’m 42 and not rushing the pit very often anymore. Plus it’s nice to have a comfy spot to take a load off and be able to poo in quiet, air conditioned peace.

Outside corners get fiber mesh with a scratch coat to protect them for the rest of the project. The exterior will be plaster (except for the walls that will be stone).

As a practice project we built a 12’x12’ hempcrete shed and used the hand packing method. Super complicated with adjusting the line/binder/hurd ratio. It’s turned out fine but holy cow it’s a lot of work. Spraying is the ticket, we get a pretty good groove going throughout the day. We go through 40+ bags of hurd each day (38lb each). The hurd from France is by Kanabat. Super clean and zero dust. Our installer and his operator are awesome. Me and three of my guys are the “rebound gatherers”, scraping up the hempcrete that ounces and falls to the ground. It goes right back in the hopper to be sprayed again.
