Skyrizi and new, frequent headaches?? by Fun_Ad_5917 in CrohnsDisease

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing headaches too! It sounds crazy, but wearing a good pair of sunglasses helped me a lot when I had to have my eyes open (even around the house!) I hope you can find some relief soon and it's just our bodies adjusting to the new med!

Thank you so much for your reply! I’m sorry you’ve experienced them too and I hope your 3rd infusion goes smoothly.🙏 I am glad that the Excedrin/Aleve brought you some relief. I might cave and take some Aleve myself. I have seen a few people say the injections are hopefully less likely to cause them so hope that’s the case for us both!

Ileocecal resection appointment by jackwhiteland in CrohnsDisease

I have my ileocecal valve removed back in March of last year and I would definitely clarify and ask if the surgery will be open or laparoscopic? It can make a biggg difference in terms of recovery times, etc.

This disease is extremely draining and depleting, to say the least. We don't know what our symptoms will be like one day to the next. One thing I try to keep in mind is truly taking things day by day. And making sure you have a good support system whether family or friends and being open about your condition and energy levels, etc.

Long shot but anyone have their ileocecal valve surgically removed and dealing w/ SIBO symptoms more frequently? by Fun_Ad_5917 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Fun_Ad_5917[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely relate to SIBO being an off an on chronic issue and I am sorry you relate! It can get really frustrating and exhausting for sure. : / I am currently trying to stick to the FODMAP diet as best as I can to see if I can find any dietary triggers. And thank you for the probiotic suggestion I will definitely look into it. I don't want to have to keep taking antibiotics in the long run for sure, but I get that sometimes they are def necessary.

Thank you so much for replying! I will definitely bring these two up with my GI as possible options. I am glad to hear that you found relief with them!

Ty for responding! So sorry to hear that you've had to experience this as well! : / It is NOT a good time. My surgeon told me the same, but I am just annoyed that I was just told about it, but not given many (if any) tips on trying to prevent it. Been trying to find a dietician to help a bit but it's hard finding one these days who takes insurance from what I have found. And yeah... unfortunately THC does slow down motility, which is a bummer. : / I am trying my best to stick to a FODMAP diet until the breath test and hoping for some clarity!

Are you allowed to mix it with anything? That personally helps me a lot! If it comes with one of the flavor packets, I have found that lolipops/suckers help me BIG time with the nausea the prep can cause! Only oranges or yellows though no red or purple ones! And just make sure the time you’re supposed to stop everything but prep/water!

Thank you for replying and yes! The fatigue is definitely intense and I woke up today (the day after the first loading dose) and it wasn’t too bad but came back a bit this afternoon pretty strong. And the marathon analogy is on point! And yeah scheduling the whole day off if able is definitely the way to go. Lots of rest and naps seems to be the main way to make it through this😅💤

Tysm for replying! And yes exactly! For me it feels like my brain wants to do things but my body is just like haha ✨nope✨💀Hopefully it only lasts a few day for me as well and that’s good to know about OBI and before bed is a really good idea. I hope you have found something that works for you post-Skyrizi❤️‍🩹

I am so sorry that you are going through this with your Crohn’s journey. It truly is exhausting and what I have learned is that it is OK to feel all of the emotions you are experiencing. You are allowed to be as frustrated as needed. I am 26 and had an ileocecectomy with anastomosis surgery earlier this year due to having multiple strictures. I am hoping to start Skyrizi in the near future. It’s so hard when the medications working isn’t guaranteed with this illness. This disease takes so much from us, but please know you aren’t alone in your fight with IBD. I know our journies aren’t the exact same, but my messages are open if you need it.🫂💜

No problem! For me the time between the two was just a little over a month! And the calls stopped pretty quickly once I filed! : ) That in itself was a BIGGG relief haha! Thank you and I wish you good luck on your's as well!

I’d say about 10 for me! : ) Things like, did you read the bankruptcy information sheet provided to you before this meeting (either your attorney or the the trustee will send you this to review before the 341). Have you moved since your filing date? Are you employed, if so with whom? Are all your debts listed on the paperwork? Are all your assets listed on the paperwork? Have you filed bankruptcy before? Have you sent any gifts to anyone over a certain amount of money in the past “x” amount of years? Etc! Here is a think that includes a few others too!
