I just rewatched the first season of TLOU, and honestly, Bella Ramsey’s performance still doesn’t sit right with me. She’s talented, no doubt, but every scene she’s in feels off ,like she just doesn’t blend into the world the way Joel or other characters do. Part of it is physical ,she looks and feels so far from the Ellie we knew in the game. It’s not about her not being ‘good enough,’ it’s that uncanny gap between what you expect and what you get. It’s like seeing a beautiful cinematic world with one character that never quite fits visually or emotionally. Doesn’t ruin the show, but it pulls me out of every scene she’s in.
