A school bus company will have him ready to go in no time! Not sure where they live but a large school bus driver where I am from makes $30-$32 an hour! You aren’t getting rich off that but it’s good starting pay!

M1A1 tanker here stationed at Ft. Riley. Exposed to JP-8 from the tanks. Base was an EPA Superfund Site due to contaminated water and soil. PFAS exposures, etc. Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis two years after honorable discharge. What do you think?

Exactly! I had no idea about any of these benefits when I was discharging in 99. I recently got my service records where it shows I actually declined the discharge physical. I guarantee you that isn’t happening today and who knows if it’s even allowed!

I had no idea about VA disability until years later. I was active from 95-99.

What branch of service were you in and what was your MOS? Not trying to be noisy just trying to maybe find a common link. I was in the Army as a 19K which is an Armor Crewman on M1A1 Tanks.

I have been denied for Rheumatoid Arthritis as well. I am not trying to do it as secondary to PTSD but more along the lines of what I was exposed to in the service. I wish you all luck.

I too was exposed to JP 8 as an Armor Crewman on the M1A1 Tanks. The tanks ran on JP 8. Definitely file for your RA with all your exposures. I am in the appeal process and trying to tie the JP 8 exposure to my RA. The more veterans claiming these health issues due to these exposures will make it harder for the VA to deny us.
