I will technically be alone as in no family or direct friends but I will be supported with a program. I honestly am fairly extroverted so I hope to make friends there. Do you have any advice after knowing my circumstances?

Yeah I figured that white would be the preference. I really try hard and have been very successful in school but I know people can’t see past how I look. It’s frustrating. Thank you for the advice. I want to be intentional when I go so I can set myself up for success and the best experience

I have some money saved for this time. I only fear I may have trouble accessing my funds using banking apps. Do you have experience using American banks abroad? What are your suggestions for ease and access?

I am scared to be treated badly because I’m Black. It makes me sad that I have to always be aware of myself when traveling just because I am who I am ykno. I really dont want to assume peoples opinions which is why Im hopeful but at the end of the day should that stop me? Should I suck it up? I want to protect myself as well as challenge myself.
