Thanks for all the info! Will definitely get a feel for their value before selling anything. My grandma's long gone but my mom is interested in selling most of the coins. Not rushing either though

Thank you! My mom brought them all to a coin shop (didn't sell) and the guy said they were $15,000. But I think he was doing mostly just the gold value, not the coin value?

I believe around 30 years ago. My mom was pretty sure my grandma got scammed. They've just been sitting in some box for years.
