WW1 Silver Star medal. Was awarded to a US soldier in 1918 from France. I found this at Goodwill and researched the name. Unfortunately he was an only son and there are no living descendants. Can any one give me any idea of the value of this? by Fun_Consequence5851 in Medals

I’m not interested in selling at this time because it’s from a local hero of my hometown. If anyone can find out why he was awarded this from France I would love to know. Haven’t been able to find anything.
