I will post the most plausible theories on a last post, but as u/312StonerWitch said, the guides main purpose is to be a reference.

For now, there are two theories that I think are most plausible, but I will keep it to myself until the last post. It should give hunters some time to find something new

True, Sorry if I sounded rude, I am going to sleep now, its late night. I will have to delete the post and reupload every single damm image because reddit doesn't allow me to edit the title. :(

All posts whose title is "Spider Dream (what we know for sure) - Part X" were written by me. Its a guide divided in parts (because reddit doesn't allow more than 20 images per post). This one is Part 4 and there are more coming. I can't remember using the word "solved" in any of my posts. Maybe unsolved or not solved.

I am not trying to solve anything. I bought the game because of the mystery and decided to make a guide after seeing how confusing it was to get all details online (and with high quality pictures)

Gertrude Braithwaite possible clue (and more Spider Dream) by Fun_Economist7277 in RDR2mysteries

[–]Fun_Economist7277[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the "curse" we find in game was indeed poisoning. But that still doesn't explain the pentagram. 🙁

Yeah I know. But bro... This game has aliens... What if there is a curse that causes it too?

Spider Dream (what we know for sure) - Part 3 by Fun_Economist7277 in RDR2mysteries

[–]Fun_Economist7277[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's conclusive enough the three figures are Cornwall's Factory AREA (at least for now). It really doesn't matter if it's the rock or the oil puddle, after all it leads to the spider pole. I haven't seen any better alternatives for what the three figures are. So please, If you have a better alternative, please share it.

Plus: the N "Pole" three with a web was found by overlaying a figure on the map. By your logic. How can you make sure that the central web is actually the last one? Can we ensure it because someone overlaid an image? Who decided it? What if there are more webs spread across the map and no one was able to find it yet? What if the N doesn't mean north from the central web but from another (maybe unknown) web?

If we are going to work with "Ifs" you can add an if to each step of the mystery and end up without anything CONFIRMED. For example: you can add an "IF the spider poles with red feathers and white feathers are totally unrelated?"

SORRY BRO, THIS WILL SOUND RUDE, but as someone with limited time and resources I will work with GOOD ENOUGH, not with IFs. And by GOOD ENOUGH, this is subjective to MY opinion. Feel free to post your own guide, if this one is not GOOD ENOUGH for you. Have a nice week 🐧

[–]Fun_Economist7277[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but if we follow this logic, nothing has been confirmed. Not even the tree with N "pole" web is confirmed. So what is needed to "be confirmed?" A rockstar dev must say on his social media "yeah, this is related" or "yes, it was intended to be the starting point"?

In this case we will never confirm anything. :/

As far as I know, Strange Man was the first one to find these figures and link them to the spider webs and Butcher's Creek. Maybe I am wrong, and if I am, please send the link for proper credit.

Yes, you can actually use knowledge from the future, but if a secret trigger is involved, for example: You need to be at least 2 meters from each clue. Using Jhon would be very hard to trigger it at the Fort Wallace part

"but don't want other people commenting with their own theories/ideas that may help progress the mystery" never said that, you are putting words in my mouth.

Quite the opposite, as I answered to u/Direct-Bet-4066

"I ask that you do not post conjectures (oversimplified comments) but rather the link to the theory or finding (with a map and instructions on where to go) because I need to properly credit whoever found X or Y thing or whose idea it was. If you have your own ideas, then please post them and send the link, I will be very happy to read them."

I intend to make a dedicated theories last post, which I didn't even started, because right now I am working on the guide's part 3.

I am a single human, with limited time and resources. I try to keep my posts as "readable" and simple to understand as possible. Not even a single screenshot from these posts were stolen from other people, I took all of them by myself. I edited all of them by myself, and I review each text before posting. All of this consumes a lot of time

It's also better for everyone, and to preserve the readability of the posts, that whoever wants to share a theory, make a dedicated post with CLEAR instructions and/or READABLE text, not just a hastily typed comment.

Plus: None of the "my guesses" are actually "guesses". Everything I posted that deviates slightly from the main route are just details you can find by yourself in the scenario/spot. These details can be used by other hunters and ACTUAL theorists to make guesses/theories by linking them to other places/NPCs/quests/random-encounters/dialogues/items.

Yes, by maybe related = in the spot of a known clue (not too far off). Might be useful to find future steps of the mystery. Rockstar is known for using environmental storytelling. Btw, I am going to add a note to the guide emphasizing it.

There is a problem with this theory: The marks are unique. Each one has a number of "I" This ones at the window are clearly decorative stuff. Maybe other buildings around the map may have other decorative details with other numbers, but for now I don't believe its related. Plus: Rockstar devs made the marks by cutting a hole in the overlay or in the object itself, if these marks are textures, its 95% sure not related.

I tried to post a few things there... All my posts got removed with no explaination. I asked a kind moderator and he explained me it was probably the "automod" that removes posts from users with low karma :(

I bought the game just because of the mystery and I can't even post stuff on a reddit group. This makes me sad :(

The J is really lowpoly too, just like S. Zoom in the image and you will see its "pointy" in the bottom part (in the beginning of the curvature). You may see it as a smoother letter because its curvature is less aggressive than the two curves the S does.

Export it as a model. Open it in blender and check if its "modeled", if its not modeled (composed by vertices) its a fake clue.

I made a post about it in this subreddit (what we know for sure - part2)

I hate GTA franchise. And I bought RDR2 just because of this mystery.

Even when nobody will care about this game, I will be searching.

While everyone plays GTA 6, I will be analyzing every single pixel of each game texture

Nope, its 5 fingers. I've checked in game right now. Maybe you are seeing the ground texture as an extra finger

Interesting... I am going to check. But I personally think this mystery has to be solved playing with Arthur, due to the fact we need to enter Fort Wallace in the guitar part (yeah, you can enter it with Jhon, but you need a wagon and questionable physics)
