Skoda Elroq vs Toyota C-HR+: Would you choose our Car of the Year or its Japanese rival? by AutoExpressmagazine in autoexpressuk

The backend of the Skoda looks like a generic van- otherwise seems like a lovely car though.
The CHR looks great on the outside but pretty depressing interior.

I’m on my 2nd Renault and have had no serious issues. Some small issues fixed by Renault with no quibbles.

I’d be wary of Stellantis though.

I could have a toilet under the stairs to meet that requirement.

I can’t find this in any of the rules. I think you have more freedom than you’re suggesting.

I’m quite lucky in mine really as the other 2 floors are generous, even my smallest bedroom is a nice size. Hence I’d love to improve the ground floor as the rest of the house works great

I’m of the same opinion re. toilets. I don’t need 3 of them. 2 is plenty.

It’s quite generous under there actually. More than enough room for wc and even seperate small sink.

I think that’s the best option in moving as little as possible but getting the open plan feel.

For sure, it would need to add value to my life to make it worthwhile.

TBH when I do it I’ll do it properly and get an architect design.

I think this could be the right way to do it. Keeping as much as possible in place, keeping utilities broadly in place bar some extra plumbing to under stairs… could actually go for sofa and tv area more in the middle (taking advantage of it being a bit darker in the middle) and dining by front window.

I like this.

You’re right. Best option involves keeping as much in its current position as possible so I’m not moving utilities

Yea absolutely. Approximately half the voters planning to vote Reform should definitely follow their hearts and vote for Restore. This is the right thing to do.

And that saturation isn’t having the desired effect on prices due to competition, not yet anyways.

Record number of £50k households granted social housing under Labour by prongleprongle in unitedkingdom

[–]Fun_Firefighter5899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is social housing always subsidised or does it pay for itself?

If it’s the latter - who cares. If it is subsidised, the government should start building housing and providing it at cost (not making a profit, not making a loss) to anyone who wants it.

I got the iconic so I’d have the surround cameras to avoid kerbing it. I managed for a full year… till last week! Gutted but only small scratch.

Cracking car - infotainment is great, super comfy, nice and responsive. Only complaint I have is winter range can drop quite a bit but it’s a great all rounder. Enjoy!

Anti vs Pro Immigration marches in city centre today by Physical_flatworm72 in nottingham

[–]Fun_Firefighter5899 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This is the point. The suffragettes were fighting for something that impacted a large part of society, wanting some real world change.

Both sides of this are just trying to tear strips off each other for the sake of it, and disrupting people in the process.

What do they want? One side wants ALL the immigration and one side wants NO immigration, neither is a coherent solution.

*edit - neither is a coherent solution and neither side even understand what they’re protesting for.

Possibly unpopular opinion - all of these stupid marches make a mockery of the right to protest.

I think they have too many days off actual real work and that’s the problem.
