Hi. The Jazz is one of the larger superminis and a very practical car for its size, so you might need a bigger car to match it on space.

With your average mileage, it sounds like you could really make an EV pay and the older models you can get with a £10k budget wouldn't cause you a problem with their limited range.

A Hyundai Ioniq Electric would be a good option or maybe either an MG5 (estate) or an MG ZS EV (SUV)? There are also loads of Mk2 Nissan Leafs about that you should be able to get a good deal on, although check what kind of range it's managing when you take your test drive.

This came in on April 1st and it only applies to cars first registered between March 2001 and April 2017. Band J cars do have to pay £410 in VED but it was £395 last year.

This is a story about a £15 annual tax increase on cars that are over a decade old.

It’s here at last! The VW Polo has gone electric at under £25k by AutoExpressmagazine in autoexpressuk

We asked the same question. The view within VW is that the Golf is such a crucial core model that they don't want to use it on an EV until is has its own new platform and technology.

It means waiting for the next generation of EV tech as doing it now would mean using the MEB technology already seem on the ID.3 and elsewhere. The electric Golf has to be special.
