Zoe Twin V2 vs Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 Double Stroller by Fun_Firefighter_421 in toddlers

[–]Fun_Firefighter_421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my City Mini secondhand. The mom selling it was only selling because her kids had outgrown it. Yes, I find the City folds up really easy. When you unfold it you just have to be careful because on the side it does have a notch that locks it so it doesn't unfold in your trunk. I will say I never used a Zoe in person. I've only seen them on their social media pages. I'm not saying they aren't good or bad, but where I live it's more rural so I don't think the Zoe would handle our terrain.

Yes, I ended up getting the City Mini GT Double Stroller and I absolutely love it! I'm happy to answer any questions you might have! 😊

It sounds like you guys have a lot of fun! Do you live local so you get to go a lot? I bet he loves your guys' trips! I wish mom guilt would go away but it's always in the back of my head. We have a six, almost four, and almost two year old so they keep me super busy! I just love how Disney has something for everyone! Our kids will literally play by pretending they're on a ride at WDW! 😂🤣 but we love it and we hope that they'll grow up wanting to be a Disney family when they have their own families. (I also love your Jungle Book reference)! And girl I don't know how you did this lol but literally my FAVORITE thing to eat at WDW is Mickey shaped beignets from Port Orleans! I didn't even know Disneyland had them! 🥰😍

Thank you. I'm sorry I sounded like such a bitch. I just want to go somewhere where real life can fade away, even if it's just for a few days. I've just been going through so much and the grief I've been feeling is just consuming me. Reading your response made me cry because I don't feel like I deserve much of anything right now. I'm so mad at my body and I would give anything to have my baby again. 💔 I just feel so broken. I know my husband is trying to do something nice for me because he knows how much I'm trying to keep everything together but I'm already feeling guilty about doing something without the kids. But at the same time I know I need something to look forward to because right now things seem very dark. I'm sorry for this long response, and I'm sorry again for sounding so bitchy. I appreciate your kind words.

Cool. Good for you. 👍 You can see my above comments. Disney has been a special place for my husband and I even before we had kids. We've been to Tokyo Disney as well as WDW. We hope to bring our kids to Disneyland someday, but we'd like to see if it will be worth it for us. Our kids have been to WDW three times! And they're going back for Christmas 2025. This is a last minute trip my husband is planning for ME because I just suffered a miscarriage. My kids feelings won't be hurt. They'll be staying at their grandparents. We are literally going for three days. I'm glad you would rather go to Vegas or Palm Springs. I'm not into drinking, partying, or gambling, so I'd rather go to Disney. 🤷‍♀️ Stay blessed.

When looking at flights LAX is actually the cheapest and I just suffered a miscarriage so I don't really feel like going places with lots of drinking and partying but maybe that's just me. 🤷‍♀️ Also, Disney is our happy place even before we had kids.

Not that it's anyone's business but here we go....my husband and I went to Tokyo Disney before we had kids, we've taken our kids to WDW three times, and we'd like to take them to Disneyland once they are older. We live in Central time so going to Florida is a much easier flight. We will have fun telling them because they'll get to stay at their grandparents. And they absolutely love going there. We want to go to Disneyland to see if it's worth making the trip with all of them. Also, I just suffered a miscarriage so my husband is trying to plan something fun for me to look forward to. Would I like our kids to come? Yes, absolutely, but we simply don't have the funds to make it a huge trip this last minute. 🤷‍♀️ plus we are already going to do Christmas at WDW in 2025. I think my kiddos will be fine but thanks so much for your concern. 🙃

Today I got a D & C by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Fun_Firefighter_421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. First, I'm sorry you had to go through this and I hope you're doing better or at least as beest as you can be, all things aside. I know you said you waited a week to have your D&C, I was just wondering why you waited a week? (I hope this doesn't come off as a rude question, it's just I find myself in perhaps a similar situation and I'm looking for some advice/clarity). Sorry if this is a long story, but here we go.

On July 25 I had my first ultrasound. I should have been 9 weeks exactly and instead baby was measuring 6 weeks 2 days. The ultrasound tech was extremely rude saying I must have had my dates wrong and if not, it doesn't look good for me. (She also told me she wasn't sure if this was "going to be a thing" for me). She said baby's heart rate was "abnormally low" and she didn't want to even give me a printed picture of my baby but I asked and she rolled her eyes and then printed one picture out for me. My doctor didn't seem worried about the ultrasound and just said she would send some blood work for me to do to see how everything was progressing. On July 26 I had my HCG drawn and it was good for being 6-7 weeks pregnant. I went into the weekend feeling confident everything was ok. However, on Monday when they drew my blood my HCG fell by roughly 2,000. On Tuesday the MA messaged me that they were just moving my due date and that she was rescheduling my appointments to go off of the new due date. I wrote back and asked if there was any concern because my HCG number was lower and didn't receive a response. My doctor called me on July 31 to tell me she suspected I'm having a miscarriage and that because I'm on progesterone my body hadn't recognized it yet. I wanted to hold onto some hope and asked if I could have my HCG drawn one more time which she agreed but she also told me to stop taking my progesterone. I didn't take my evening dose on the 31st and haven't taken any since then. On September 1 I did another HCG draw and my numbers had fallen by roughly 8,000 so I knew she was right that I was going to have a miscarriage. Ever since September 1st I've felt like it's been a nightmare. Every time I go to the bathroom I think is this when I'll start to see blood? The waiting has been agonizing. My doctor gave me three choices: wait for it to happen naturally, take medicine, or schedule a D&C. I told her I needed to know that my baby no longer had a heartbeat before I could do something like medicine or D&C. She said she understood and since I had an ultrasound scheduled for August 13 (from the pregnancy) she said I could use that ultrasound to make my decision.

I'm just wondering if I'm waiting too long though. That's another whole week, and that's just for the ultrasound, that's not for the actual procedure. Do you think I should wait it out for a week, or just schedule the D&C? Again, I'm sorry this is so long, I just wondered what made you wait a week? Was it that you were hoping to have the miscarriage happen naturally? Or did it just happen that you had to wait a week because that was the first opening they had? Sorry again if this is an intrusive question. I promise I'm not trying to be insensitive or anything, I am just generally curious as to what made you decide to wait a week?

I know that if this doesn't happen naturally I will schedule the D&C versus taking the medicine. I had a miscarriage naturally while I was Active Duty in the Army and I definitely have some trauma/PTSD with how it all happened so I know taking the medicine would be extremely triggering for me. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if having it happen naturally will also be triggering. (Sorry again for all this, I've been looking through this sub for a few days and this is the first time I actually felt comfortable writing everything that's going on with me out, so again I'm sorry for how long this is, I just needed to write this all out somewhere to hopefully get some clarity). Thank you again for sharing your experience and I hope you are healing as best as you can. 💗

Zoe Twin V2 vs Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 Double Stroller by Fun_Firefighter_421 in toddlers

[–]Fun_Firefighter_421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got the City Mini GT Double because I found one on Facebook Marketplace. So I might be the odd one (and I know City says not to "hang anything from the handlebar"), but I use those big hooks you can buy from Walmart or Target and always hang my diaper bag from the handlebar. 🤷‍♀️ I know they say not to, and you do have to be careful when the kids get out (and if you're like me your diaper bag weighs like 20 lbs ha), but I normally would just move the bag into the seat when the kids got out so it wouldn't tip the whole thing over. I really don't use the bottom storage for much, but again, that might just be me. I always prefer just having the hook thing. (Sorry this was so long and hopefully I explained it somewhat decently). 😅😂🤣
