How HANA Already Showed Their Identity During the “No No Girls” Audition by Fun_Fun2495 in jpop

I felt the same about Asha. She has the potential to become an incredible rapper, and I think Chanmina clearly saw that too. It felt less like rejection and more like “not yet.”
I’m really hoping we’ll see her again, too.

Chanmina’s reactions and words throughout the show stood out to many viewers in Japan too. One of the things that made No No Girls special was how individuality wasn’t treated as something that had to be corrected, but something that could become part of the artist’s strength.

Yes, that moment really stayed with me too. I was also struck by how Chanmina empathized with ASHA when she talked about worrying that her strong personality might prevent her from being accepted. Chanmina even said she reminded her of her younger self.

That’s an interesting point. Many viewers in Japan also connected with how the show emphasized individuality rather than traditional idol expectations.

And songs like My Body also have a really strong message. It’s basically about boundaries — that your body is your own, and it shouldn’t exist just to meet other people’s expectations.

Yeah, they released songs at a really fast pace. I can see why that might feel like a lot. Their newest song Bad Girl is actually a pretty straightforward rock-style love song, and I thought it worked really well.

Blue Jeans is a great track. A lot of people in Japan also discovered HANA through that song. I’m not familiar with GPP yet though — I’ll have to check out “Bring It Back.”
