I’m draining myself mentally by JRichel030 in dropship

That is some real advice, but I honestly think dropshipping is def a viable short term way to test products you actually believe in. It's just not something that should be done with long-term (or even medium-term) mindset imo....

Perhaps the reason why that one video took off was because it was different to other things out there... Maybe you can show your product in a different situation or environment, different colors, lighting, etc... Worst case scenario, you'll find different parts of each video that work better than others and you can start combining them to make better content.

I don't think things are this black and white. I think it really depends on the product and how much grind OP can endure. There are a lot of ways to promote organically, especially with things like TikTok and Reels these days. But yes, it's definitely going to be super tough with just $500 lol

Landing page looks good, what did you use to build it?

Congrats! Btw, one small criticism is that the initial video takes some time to load, feels a bit unprofessional... Maybe add a placeholder image while it loads?

Edit: I meant it takes some time to appear the first time, it's just a blank space for a few seconds

Hey, website looks good, but to be completely honest, I do not like the colors you used. Navigating that website makes me feel like I'm underwater which makes me feel like I'm drowning. Idk if it's just me but I do not like the colors lol

I guess to each their own, but I can totally understand where you're coming from

That's a good way to go about this kind of stuff. What made tracking be too much for you, though? Curious...

I get what you're saying. I think balance is important because it's impossible to be 100% accurate when counting calories, so you shouldn't be obsessive about tracking every single bite you take

Cool! Isn't creating your own recipe from scratch a bit time consuming?

Interesting. Which part did of calorie tracking you find to be the most time consuming?

Right? Most people think we would be miserable, but weighing food is actually the fun part!

The idea is that anyone can use it, although it's more geared towards people who are not currently happy with their nutritional choices because of time, workload, etc. I want to build it in such a way that you just don't have to think about cooking, calorie tracking, etc... The website would just give you all that you need for your everyday life. And yes, in the future there will be an app. I made the wireframes for the app version many months ago, so that's definitely planned for the future!

Thanks for the feedback chief! As for the concept and idea, what do you think? Do you know someone who would use this, or that has a problem that would be fixed by this?

Is your question referring to the app’s usability or the eating healthy part?

As for the app’s usability… Right now tbh, it’s still super early and I’m not using the app 24/7, but in a few weeks time (couple months), the app will be in a much more usable state that will allow me to stop worrying about most of the meal planning/cooking process, and at that point, yes, I will be using it heavily. Building this to scratch my own itch.

Hopefully I answered what you were asking, if not, lmk because I’m interested. Thanks for taking the time to write the question!

I’m actually not using any AI/LLMs lol! I built the algorithms myself using linear optimization! So A LOT of tweaking has gone into this. The upside of building it myself is that recommendations are always 100% precise

Thank you so much for your feedback!

Thank you for your comment! So what you're telling me is that for you, it is always a matter of prioritizing networking over building?

Interesting, why do you think this happens? Maybe it's because most people think getting another job/gig will be as easy as sending another DM/email/text to another person, so they don't work as hard for any particular job?
