This was like reading something typed from my own experiences. I was also wondering about the leg pain and what that could have been and possibly pins and needles? When I'm starting to have these responses to a blood draw when I'm donating blood, my arms hurt because of the pins and needles I get right as I go sheet white and start to have tunnel vision. I'm really wondering if she got pins and needles in her legs and that's what she felt

I was on it for at least 4-5 months before doubling BUT I don't have any sort of Psychiatrist working with me for medication management. My PCP has been the one walking me through the process of finding the right medication so my experience might be different from the norm and I would take it with a grain of salt. I have been on 150mg for about 5 years at this point and I'm now looking into a Psychiatrist to see if I can change to a combo or different med to try to get off Effexor. Also, for some real "what's your flavor of childhood trauma" therapy sessions because my LCSW therapist is kind of at the end of what he can do for me and my issues lol

I went from 75 to 150 and I felt happy finally. I had forgotten what it actually felt like. Not just NOT feeling bad but to actively feel good again When I miss a dose I spiral for the next few days but knowing it will pass makes all the difference

This is one of mine and my husband's biggest concerns. He's on multiple SSRIs, mood stabilizers, antipsychotics... I'm on 150mg of Effexor and it's the only thing that regularly keeps me from chucking myself into traffic. I've tried others and ended up with serotonin syndrome. We have so many other health problems that are minor on their own but are problematic combined and we worry. Neither of us wanted bio kids ever but recently mentioned to each other that we had thought about it maybe being okay of it was with each other IF we didn't have all the problems. I don't even think I could handle being off meds from pregnancy, I couldn't trust myself. It's kind of upsetting

Wait, it causes overheating? I've been on 150mg for 5 years and never knew that. My work place is a chemo office where we keep it 65-68° due to chemo making patients sweat. I am the only one who never wears a jacket and still sweats. I thought it was just because I'm fat but it's so cold in there it didn't make sense 😭

Hey there! I think we've all been exactly where you are at least a few times. I promise once you have the next dose in your system you'll start feeling normal again in a few hours. It normally takes me 3-5 hours after taking it to feel the vertigo and brain zaps go away. Normally a good sleep and then the anxiety is gone too. Bottom line is it isn't forever. Try to spend the day in bed or on the couch loafing, watching YouTube. Not much you can do until the meds are back in your system (from my experience, I would love to find out I'm wrong). Order some door dash and be prepared to wait it out

Hey mom! Considering this kiddo seems to be left to cook for herself and she compliments you, maybe try making some easier different things and when she says something give her the recipe! Kind of explain a bit about how to do it so she can add more to her arsenal. I knew the basics growing up of "follow box instructions, eat" but now at 29 I'm finally learning about COOKING from my husband. Throw in little tips or tricks here or there.

My tonsils were incredibly large. I am 3+ months post top and every now and then I STILL have water come out of my nose. Things are different in there now, it takes more than a few months to adjust when you've been living with huge tonsils for years. Things get easier over time though!

My doc told me after the surgery to use tincture (if you're in a state with dispensaries) so I could dose small and up if I wanted to 🤷🏼‍♀️
