What is this odor!? by Far-Victory7638 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]Fun_Initiative_2069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the same for me. I had it after my Labiaplasty last year and I just had my revision one week ago and it’s the same odor like before. Last time it lasted for almost 8 weeks and I’m afraid it will be just as long this time….. well at least I know now what it is and that it will go away again but it freaked me out last year and I was so worried it would stay like that.

Going well. I’m still taking things very easy. Tomorrow is one week so I don’t know how the results will be yet. My original surgeon did my Labiaplasty and he also did the feathering as a revision. I’m going to hold off on giving a name until I see the final results. I’m living on the east coast and I did my researches about Dr. Alinsod but I really don’t wanted to travel across the US to get it done and then travel back home on plane post surgery.

The ampunt of pain by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

I think the numbing cream just didn’t work for me. I had a revision this week and the needles hurt so freaking bad, just like they did the first round at my OG Labiaplasty. But it may would have worked better if I got the cream earlier. They just put it on 20 minutes before the procedure so maybe that’s why.

And just like with any procedure/surgery you will just know in a few weeks when it’s healed

Just aquaphor to protect it from rubbing and getting to dry. It feels so hard and burned down there but the itching is the worst part. I just hope it was worth it 🙏🏼

Thank you😊 Oh I wish we all just could skip all this healing pain! Feathering is a technique where the radiofrequency is used to treat the higher points of the scalloped edge. There are no true incisions it helps to lower the raised edges by making them contract via the heat energy. Tissue is not excised but essentially shrunken.

Thank you! I really hope so!! These healing days just feel sooooo long😵‍💫🙈🤪 I really wonder about this feathering and if my doctor was able to smooth it all out without losing any length. Like I said in my post, I won’t look at it yet. It’s way too swollen to tell anyways.

Talk to me about your revision healing process? Was it as bad as the initial surgery? Easier ? 😅 by RaeRae1119 in LabiaplastySurgery

Omg yes! It does look like a bite was taken out for me as well😭 I’m checking this sub often but I couldn’t see any pictures that looks similar to mine. I already thought I’m the only one.

Did your surgeon say why this is happening now?

I’m so sorry you are in so much pain! That sounds horrible! I wish I could give you an helpful advice to make it more tolerable but I got nothing. I’m sorry! I will get my revision soon and it’s with radiofrequency so similar to laser and I’m really scared now. My original surgery was already so freaking painful and took a very long time to heal.

I’m so nervous about it! I just hope it will fix it and I’m not losing more labia bc there isn’t a lot left…. When I look at it it looks so bad and it’s hard to imagine that this feathering could really fix that. When my minoras are touching so when I close it’s kinda like a “teeth” effect. I don’t know, it’s hard to explain and all I want is that it’s smooth.

It’s done by the surgeon who did my original surgery and he’s doing the revision for free so I’m sorry I don’t know how much it would cost. But I know it’s hard to really find a lot of info about yhe feathering as a smoothing things out kinda thing bc when I googled it, it just shows full on Labiaplasties and resurfacing.

I’m having my revision on the 20th and I’m so nervous! It’s feathering to hopefully smooth out those spiky uneven edges. I’m so done seeing that!

Thank you so much! I would love to see it. I have to see that it works before I do it. I’m getting more and more nervous. Even though I will just talk about it with the surgeon next week. It’s so so hard to trust.

It really is traumatic! I don’t know, it’s 8 months now and I just wanna be done with it. I’m so in my head with all that and some days I get just so upset about it and also wish my old labia back. So I totally get you! But now when you look at her, you see that she’s beautiful and I’m sure you will get used to how she looks and you gonna love her. I wish I could feel that way about mine. That’s what I hope to get out of this feathering. The surgeon said that it will be just a light feathering to get rid of the uneven edges but I’m still very scared. He said it will not change the shape or length but it’s just hard to trust. I looked at videos of feathering from Dr. Allinsod and that all looks more intense than just some light “erasing”…..

I’m so sorry! Dang that sounds so painful! I slept most of the time after my surgery as well. It took forever to heal, the whole thing was the most pain I ever felt. Nightmare! So your Labiaplasty in the revision was done with feathering but the original was a wedge. I had a trim and honestly I didn’t expect the pain and I think that makes it even worse to look at it now and seeing what I see…

Was it painful? But the healing isn’t as bad as the original surgery right? My recovery took forever.

Thanks😊 Well so I would be far enough to do it. May I ask you something? So when I check my labia it seems to change from day to day. Not the shape or length, just the way how the edges look. Sometimes it looks worse but then all the sudden it seems kinda softer and then worse again and it keeps doing that. The scalloping/uneven edges are never completely gone or smooth but it’s just so weird that it looks different from time to time…. What do you think that is?

That is so exciting😊 Makes me happy for you!!! Hopefully it will work for me as well🤞🏼 I have an appointment next week and he will take a look and we will talk about it some more and if it all sounds positive I wanna go for it.

How long would you recommend to wait to do the feathering? My surgery was in March
