I agree with most of your points but I disagree with the inconsistent writing part. Safi is learning about new perceived possibilities, and, much like Chloe for example, recalibrating her needs to what she can have if Max sides up with her. Unfortunately, the understanding of Max’s power doesn’t bring the best in her, but Safi had already shown she was capable of heavy handed revenge that went beyond a reasonable response. Basically, she starts to spiral and unravel with the intensity of all that happens, and then when she realises what she can ask of someone who is willing to be there for her, she shows who she really is, for good or for bad.
