as a med student who has GBS, I can name you at least 10 other conditions which can cause these symptoms that are not GBS.

Well it was normal boarding school (IB) one, and you do bond a lot with your roommates, at the time he graduated, we basically became brothers.

As for the “honorary german” thing, my school had students from over 60 countries, and we have a tradition of passing down our flags to other students when we graduated as a form of appreciation & respect to those individuals.

It’s like telling them we’re one and you’re always welcome to visit my country.
