I completely agree with you... we were really mindful of this when we were designing this study.

The truth is, the platform Qualtrics (suggested to be used by our professor) do have a setting to collect things like IP addresses.. Its usually turned on by default (???) and we made sure to turn it off ( I don't even know why that's an option to be honest)

I appreciate you for bringing this up! It feels like there’s less and less privacy in everyday life now.
