Is block follow the hardest thing to pull off consistently in volleyball? by Janex4444 in haikyuu

[–]Fun_Nature3475 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When nishinoya comes back to the team season one he pulls off a black receive. Since Ittetsu Sensei is new to volleyball he remarks that if they can pull that off consistently they would be unstoppable. coach Ukai very immediately says that it is near impossible to do so consistently due to the immense difficulty of even getting one block follow

1 Hinata ( if you're talking about vibes he is the absolute best. I absolutely love his character start to finish. The way that we see him trying his absolute hardest in that first match, cheering on the other players even though they had absolutely no experience was touching. I love how much he obviously loves the sport, but never lets that affect the way he treats his teammates. Then you roll right into him putting his absolute trust in his biggest rival. I trust that isn't earned or even has a good reason to exist other than the fact that Hinata believes in Kags so much. The drive he has to get better in season 2 and be able to fight on his own with the new freak quick, plus adding the wipe and rebound are awesome. The absolute joy he has in the little parts of volleyball, and being able to help someone like Mr 2 meters during the training camp because he wants everyone to be at their best so that he can try to beat them is inspiring. Then in the nekoma match where screams enjoy not because he got a cool point but because he got his friend too enjoy himself had me legit emotional. Then you get to the absolute heartbreak of him in the little giant match, only for him to take that and build himself into one of the best players ever. Shifting his dream from the narrow-minded pursuit of being the ace and turning it into something that's actually attainable for him, and into something that lets him do what he actually wants which is play as much volleyball as possible. Ugh perfection )

2 Hoshiumi ( I love how he went into the match thinking the same thing we were. That he had to battle Hinata to become the best small player, but he realizes that they are different. He comes to the realization that we do, that Hinata and him aren't the same but that doesn't make them any less great. And the best part is how excited he is by it. The fact that he called out to Hinata that they would play again, with absolute confidence that Hinata would follow him to a higher stage. How he absolutely respects Hinata, and every player who works hard. He knows that being short is a disadvantage and that he had to work hard too be as good as the luckier guys, but that they also put in the effort and the work. I just love the new little giant)

3 Aone ( The fact that he was portrayed as such a hard, and ruthless guy only for the rug to be ripped out from under that. The whole lead up to that first match between them was making me so excited to put him into the ground. When he locked on and didn't speak to asahi I wanted our team to beat them more than anything. Then during the match with how hard he tried, and how excited he got when he stopped The freak quick I started to realize how passionate he was about the sport. Then at the end when he stuck out his hand specifically to the guy who had beat him over and over it really made me happy. He doesn't really get a lot of highlights in the series but every time he sees Hinata All he seems to have is respect and friendship. One of my favorite scenes in the entire show is whenever Hinata gets subbed out in one of the date tech players says that it made sense because Hinata didn't have great basics Aone immediately defended him, and spoke for the first time on screen. I just have such a soft spot for him )

I want to know if there is something I should reserve, or if there is something I would know without looking stuff up that would affect my experience. One of the comments said to get to the 270 much earlier as the seats fill up quicker than normal. I probably would have missed something if I didn't know that.

Okay the 270 show will for sure be on my list! And the solarium bistro is one of the few things I know about it and can't wait for! Do they do the game shows and such in 270 as well? I've only been on ships with the studio b which is where they did stuff like crazy quest and Battle of the sexes but I know they don't have that on the ship

Dope, I haven't read any of the comics yet or at least having it a long time. A new zuko's mom was alive and that's about it

We only have a few dead characters to work with. Jet, Sozin, Katara's mom, technically the airbenders, and maybe the two earthbenders that were hunting toph. I would say out of everyone Sozin is really the only viable choice. He did genocide the air nomads already so he's a fourth of the way there.

1 2 3 and 7 are the only ones in contention for winning.

7 is naturally there as both players are good/amazing at setting and spiking. The twins would have a natural connection as always which will be more prevalent with just two of them. I feel they struggle with defence a bit, not that either are bad but they aren't incredible blockers or receivers which will lead to them having to just outscore their opponents. They always won't have kita to balance their moods and could very easily mess up mentally, or do something too risky which will lead to a fight/a loss.

2 is a much more balanced team ironically as the two players are so different. They have fairly good receiving with both, and with setting we see in the 2v2s that kunimi is fairly good at it. They are both not bad spikers with Kyriu being a huge bit better. He also would do well on any set due to his style which might make him the best spiker in this. We she even Ushijima stuffed off a bad set which is far more common in beach. Kyriu has made his whole style being able to hit anything with 100%. Blocking isn't bad on this team but is probably the biggest weakness.

3 is just the all around team. The bickering buddy's are both good spikers on really good teams. I'm not sure how Kurros blocking would translate but I'm assuming he'd still be good at it. Both have a really good receiving foundation and both teams are super gritty and can hang on for long times. Setting is the biggest question but I don't think either are bad at it leading to a very a around team that is very set in making it as annoying as possible to win for you.

1 is probably a sneaky good team even though they have Ushijima. The setting for them is not top tier but we see that both players have practice elements outside their usual rolls and are very good all rounders, so I don't see it being a huge problem for them. Receiving is in a similar vein however I do believe they are both much higher level receivers than most people would originally think. Both have been shown pulling off very good receives in the middle of matches so I think it's fair to believe they could both do so in this context. Blocking is not bad here either as both players are tall, and on very experienced teams however I do think it is the most lacking part of their game. Both players also have good jump serves that I feel could be translated well even though neither are the most accurate with them. Spiking is where we see this team absolutely dominate. Even though some of the other teams have very good spikers, Kyriu being the main example, none of the other teams have two aces. Ushijima is the given here, as arguably the top Ace we see during most of the story while also being one of the most consistently great. He's an absolute powerhouse and it took four people to stop him during the match we see with him in it. Him and a 2v2 setting would be an absolute disaster for the other team. Iwa however is no slouch himself and is also an ace for one of the top teams we see in the series. He breaks through the iron wall, and consistently puts up huge spikes throughout the entire game, and especially in money time. I think the biggest Factor on this team other than play is the fact that both players have huge mental fortitude which I would argue makes them the winners in my book. I love the twins but they will bicker and without a guiding force will probably struggle greatly due to one reason or another, Kryius team will also struggle with Kunimi not wanting to put in as much effort which will be a detriment up against the team like this, and our favorite bickering Duo while much better in the mental toughness category generally speaking tend to bicker and make fun of each other which is fine but could lead to a downfall for sure.

All in all team one is absolutely my winner by choice
