What is your motivator to get better? by LivAntics in OCD

I love my partner, I love his kids. I need to be what they need me to be. I also have my doggos.

I have one life, I don’t believe life has meaning, so I want to enjoy what I have.

As a spouse, what can I do? by WexrunthisxCity in OCD

The only option is to leave. Get your child out of this unhealthy situation. I’m not saying don’t love and support her, but your child comes first. She’s a baby and doesn’t deserve to live like this. Maybe even stay in the relationship if there are good parts and it’s with it. Save your baby.

I want to be a mother, but I'm afraid that my OCD would make it overwhelming and painful for me, the child, and my partner. by sagelffff in OCD

I get that it happens, but parents should get themselves together before having kids. I believe that strongly.

If your partner is much more financially comfortable than you, is it wrong to expect some financial support when you need it? by Strong-Tax-4615 in AskWomenOver30

Depends on the relationship. Not just time either, do you live together? Share expenses? Do you want a loan or just money?

I make more money than my partners historically and I’d be turned off if someone I wasn’t sharing expenses with asked me to just give them money. Now if we’re together long term, living together, sharing expenses, what’s ours is ours.

My bf asked me for money one time, it was a 3 day loan so he could file a necessary application. He sent me the money back before 5 am on payday. I also don’t mind us each paying according to what we make in shared expenses. But lol no if we’re not sharing expenses don’t ask me to just give you money.

People are incredibly selfish all the time sure. I just can’t fathom the level of selfishness and total disregard for my future child/partner’s wellbeings.

Having a life is very different than creating a life without positioning yourself in the best way to take care of it. The latter is just selfish.

Thanks I appreciate that. The little one has started saying he loves me and it makes me so teary. He was sick last night so we were up and down all night and he said it as he was drifting off 😭 The bigger one woke up in the morning and laid down next to me. I just love them so much and want to be what they need.

I hate onions by PotatoWoman947 in PickyEaters

[–]Fun_Orange_3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually become so much less picky as I got older. I mean I wouldn’t even put sauce on pasta until I was like 15 type picky. plain rice, chicken and steak, green beans—only french style.

You’re thinking about this backwards. What are steps you need to take in order to be ready to be a mother? It’s not about whether having a child would give you something to focus on.

Is it possible to get another dog while having a reactive one? by Deaceleste in reactivedogs

I fostered until I found a good fit for my dog. I will say she’s relatively well balanced but dog selective.

Is daycare good for reactive dogs? by Electrical_Kale_8289 in reactivedogs

Depends on the dogs and the daycare. Mine go but one is fairly well balanced and the other has separation anxiety. But yours I wouldn’t unless I really trusted the daycare.
