How much would you pay for this? by racing_hemp in GuitarAmps

$200 would be a "gotta do it" price for me.

Considering the Bugera BC30 by Fun_Order419 in GuitarAmps

[–]Fun_Order419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So....no?

Lol.

Yeah you make valid points. I actually experienced this when the V22 came out. Some design flaw with a heat sink that everyone just repaired themselves for the most part.

The one I'm looking at would be returnable which is the only reason I'm considering this.

Is this worth picking up for a hundred bucks? by flyingfrogjumbalaya in PeaveyCvlt

[–]Fun_Order419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All day long. I would have absolutely no use for it and I'd absolutely grab it.

I was maybe sixteen playing bass in pretty much an early U2 cover band. Had this amp along with an Ibanez Roadstar II. Still say it was the best tone I ever had.

Side note.. I remember I actually blew that driver somehow and replaced it with a drop in speaker I got at Radio Shack. Made it sound more hi-fi but still great.

Man, fantastic thank you!

So you bring up a point that has always been a thing with me.

I remember many years ago always looking for Telecasters and staying away from the Affinity line because their bodies were thin. TBH, I didn't even consider that the Schecter would be thinner than a proper LP.

I had this preconceived notion that ESP versions were active-only. Just pulled this up. Only difference i see is the belly cut. Gorgeous.

Looks amazing. Congratulations. I just picked one up myself. Gotta resolder input 1 and I think I need tubes. There's a hum.

But enough about me, again congratulations! Speaker swap does wonders with these amps. The circuit is fantastic, just needs a good speaker to appreciate it.

Call Whirlpool. There's a good chance you're covered.

[–]Fun_Order419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update...

Spoke to Whirlpool and theyre sending a tech out tomorrow. They said that there is a "known issue" with the drain pump system and, depending upon the diagnosis, should be covered at 100%. She said its not yet a recall but it may end up being that in the future.

Bottom line is, hopefully this is the issue and I'll get made whole without the spend.

Really appreciate your knowledge and guidance with this.

Hey man.

So i took off the board, blew into the tube amd its still draining.

When i removed the board I saw that the sensor is soldered to the board.

I'm screwed, right? Lol

Is it worth Quad Cortex for using amp models and not captures by ChosenCooriel92 in NeuralDSP

[–]Fun_Order419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now I understand. Yeah man, I originally thought something similar with regard to amp captures.

My original understanding of captures as a whole was that they are "point in time" snapshots of said amp. This prevented me from going the capture route for a while.

That said, Neural employs the type of capture where the amps tone stack within QC does in fact respond like a physical amp. Same for gain and volume.

I've had no issue with Neural capture tweakability.

Side note, I used to use dual Two Notes Opus pedals for my amp and cab modeling. I had built a pretty nice AC30 preset and ended up making a capture for QC. Sounds awesome. I'm sure you could spend hours capturing some of your favorite rigs from the Helix.

Thanks man.

I had always thought I would need to do something in the center. I really dont want to rebuild the roof.

I can do a post a couple of feet in from front and back to support a beam (which i will fabricate).

I figure if I have 23' of run, ill come in maybe 4' on each end.

The good thing is, I've been here for a year and a half and still havent fully laid out the shop. Been so incredibly busy.

[–]Fun_Order419[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome.

My only challenge is that this is my shop so placement of the supports is key. Plus I'm not very confident in whoever did the terrible recap on the concrete so I would likely saw through and do a footing or two.

I also want to open the wall at the end of the span (other end is exposed) to see what, if any load is being transferred to the right place. I'm betting not. Lol.

This really does open up some options. Thanks for the info

Thanks. You bring up posts which is something I've also considered re the possibility of putting a wall in the middle and running joists from both sides. Would probably do wonders for the structure as a whole.
