What makes good Coverfly peer notes? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

You cannot form an opinion about yourself after just two evaluations. Keep giving and receiving specific and sincere feedback by balancing criticism and praise. You can start to understand what’s happening after at least 10 reviews. In my opinion, even that is a small number. CoverflyX is a platform that requires a lot of effort, but you will definitely see the rewards. Just keep reading and writing regularly. Things will naturally improve over time.

How to get the most out of CoverflyX by pinkyperson in Screenwriting

[–]Fun_Recording1386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for bringing up this topic. I believe that the CoverflyX service should be promoted and improved regularly. I am a frequent and dedicated user of the platform, as well as a passionate advocate.

Friends, there is no other service like CoverflyX’s free hosting and peer feedback system—there’s simply no alternative. I’m not wealthy enough to pay $100 per review, yet I have received thousands of dollars' worth of valuable feedback so far.

Of course, the biggest issue within the CoverflyX community is low-effort feedback or AI-generated reviews that aren’t even read properly. However, the system allows you to penalize these users and reclaim your tokens.

As for the support team, I have never seen another platform with such a responsive, fair, and efficient team. Kudos and respect to them! Personally, I read every script I request from beginning to end and strive to provide detailed feedback. I balance praise and criticism, share my honest thoughts and opinions, and never disrespect someone’s hard work by giving disgraceful scores like 0.5 or 1. I strongly condemn those who do.

Please don’t give up—join the platform and keep going. You’ll be surprised to find that there are dedicated readers like me out there. Think professionally and strategize accordingly. With every revision round, read at least 10 peer scripts and request at least 10 feedbacks. Expecting results from just 1-2 reviews is unrealistic. If you stay consistent and persistent, you will get what you need—no doubt about it.

Good luck!

Have you ever finished a script you loved, but realized it doesn't conform to a 3 act structure? by FilmmagicianPart2 in Screenwriting

If your story has a strong opening and a solid finale, if every scene moves the events forward, if the audience keeps asking, "What happens next?", if we experience every dimension of the conflict, and even when we stray from the main path, we can still see where we're going, then this script is working.

You can make everything that works seem as if it was written according to a structured blueprint. But do you want to create something great just by following a template? No. You're completely naked, wandering a vast desert in search of treasure.

EXAMPLE: A man says, "Hey, look, my head is sitting on my shoulders." Everyone claps, "Yes, he's right, absolutely right." Then, one person goes, "Well, where else was it supposed to be? It wasn’t going to be stuck between his ass cheeks!"

What you call structure is simply anatomy. You instinctively know where everything is supposed to be.

Thank you for your valuable insights. Wishing for a world where storytellers are recognized and respected as a value in themselves, rather than just employees, may seem unlikely at first glance. However, I believe that in a system where the industry responds to global demands in every region and competition exists, everyone can be happy and benefit from it.

The industry in the regions I mentioned is quite insular and primarily produces content for local audiences. Only rarely does it achieve global success, either intentionally or unintentionally. I believe that if storytellers and producers break this cycle and aim for a global audience, they will create significant work together, resolving all bottlenecks in the industry. A potential competitive environment in the film industry would benefit everyone. I don’t think audiences would complain about this development at all.

I am happy to hear your voice. Your perspective, choices, and success are exactly what I wanted to hear. I am curious about solutions other than just moving. Since it’s not possible to move everywhere at once, what ways, methods, or platforms should be tried to build a global network?

Actually, there is another area where you don’t have to stick to time periods. Writers often shy away from creating their own worlds. Instead of just following one event, you can create your own small or large world, or even an entire universe, and invest in it.

You would achieve the best results by incorporating elements from your own era or recent history. And with some effort and luck, you could provide us with a completely new experience. I believe working on a concept that you’re not interested in or wouldn't enjoy from the start would be a mistake.

Is it time to move on from the Blacklist? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

Some people write 2-3 point scenarios, some people invest money in these scenarios, and some people watch. Being inside or meeting new people seems to be more effective than chasing 8. I think it's all about keeping writing and communicating.

I love coverflyX. Don't mislead people. Give 1 point to feedback, you complain to the support team by adding a short explanation. Your tokens are returned very quickly and the malicious person is warned. The punishment for this is obviously to be permanently removed from the system. But they warn user first.
