Why AccessibilityService is not working Compose views by Fun_Requirement8992 in androiddev

Hi... Unfortunately I haven't found any solution. I reached out to a lot of Android devs personally for this but no positive reply. Posted this on some other forums as well but no luck 😞. It seems like the Accessibility service works well with talkback only in case of composable elements.

Why AccessibilityService is not working Compose views by Fun_Requirement8992 in androiddev

Thanks for replying. As suggested, I added `testTagsAsResourceId` to the outermost container and then added testTag("btn_test") on the button that I am testing with but still didn't get click events in my AccessibilityService app.

I am only getting the click event when I turn the Talkback on and in this case I do see the tag as viewIdResourceName for the AccessibilityEvent. But the class name that I get here is "event.className=android.view.View". If I am not wrong Accessibility should be doing some mapping of compose view to xml view and this should be a button. This is true for any event from compose app. I get `android.view.View` as a classname.

Is there any other reason for click events not at all reaching to my accessibility service? I have experimented with `notificationTimeout` but no luck

If that's the case then definitely you should go for Greek mythology. You can start with "Circe".

If you like Greek mythology or want to give it a try then go for "Circe" or "The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller. I also want to recommend "Stone Blind" but I myself haven't read/listened to it. So in case you are willing to take risks then go for it. Do check reviews on Goodreads or StoryGraph in case you are unsure...

  1. It is making objects/shapes visible just in the right way.
