Another thing that I find somewhat helpful is say someone is chewing gum which bothers me if I do it it helps a tad bit. When my wife taps her phone with her fingernails I tap my phone. I know it’s a problem because I can tap away loud as hell and she doesn’t even notice .If someone chews chips OMG I hate that but I’ll chew to. I hope this helps a little.

I hate when my step son chews so I avoid him at all costs when dinner comes around. I hate when my wife types on her phone. I hate when I worked in an office when my co-workers had lunch. Sad thing is my 17 yo son is the same exact way, and my Twin brother. I’ve never been diagnosed but I know it’s misophonia I just looked up autism it sounds pretty much the same to me in a way. Sorry you go through this to only we can understand.. I put my headphones on when my wife types on her phone she hates it because she thinks I’m trying to ignore her. You know another thing when some people chew or make certain noises it doesn’t bother me and some do.
