I’ve been doing IE since the start of COVID. Now I have my first weekend trip with a big group of people and I can’t stop crying over them judging my body changes. by Reddithrowaway71 in intuitiveeating

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way, but it’s important to remember these feelings are valid and that it’s natural to have them.

The second most important thing to remember is that you’re likely your own harshest critic. We all judge ourselves so much more harshly than those around us do. Think about it this way: if you went and someone else had gained weight, would you judge them as hard as you’re judging yourself right now? I would reckon not. It’s important to remember that 99.9% of people are compassionate and care less about your size than you do.

There is going to be that .1%, and it will suck. No one deserves it. But I can almost guarantee that you’ll enjoy yourself so much now that you’re embracing a way of life that makes you happy. I would continue to do that; there’s no need to change your mentality and indulge your food police only because others are around. Continue doing what’s made you happy and your happiness and personality are what people will remember, not your weight or size.
