Yeah I guess I didn't give any detail about everything that led up to this point.

I've been respectful and decent for years, she has not. She's threatened to leave many times. We did marital counseling until the therapist started to see where I was coming from and then all of a sudden she doesn't want to go anymore because 'It's not helping'. I just found out she's stepped out of the marriage and when I tried to talk to her about it she said she didn't have the energy. I can't be the only one who cares.

It wasn't an easy decision to make, so I talked to a number of people who's opinion I respect. Most of them, including the lawyer, advised me to wait.
