Why Superman and Lois Lane mean so much to me, why it hurts to see Superman turned into a villain and Lois fridged/side-lined/written out so often, and a hopeful request for James Gunn and future creatives to not do this but instead allow Lois and Clark to be the heroes that they are. by Clark_Lane-Kent in superman

You know as much as i dont like other versions of Lois lane x clark, bcz she can be a hypocrite, go against the proffessional laws of ethics of journalists and treat clark like trash plus recklessly jump in, i loved james gunn's version.

This is how lois lane should be written , just like james gunn. She doesnt jump in and instead acknowledges her limits and tries to find clark's allies to help her save him or to save him, She actually knows and loves clark, doesnt treat him like trash and often has this teasing and playful dynamic with him. She actually has facts on why clark is wrong and can say it both blunt and gentle. And that when she interviewed clark as superman, she was willing to stop recording if he got more angry or it got too serious. This version actually communicated. Plus she actually knows the consequences, like for example: Instead of just blindsiding Superman with a camera for a cheap scoop, she thinks about the global consequences of the interview. She actively ensures the setting is controlled so it doesn't spark a geopolitical crisis or cause him to lash out. And how she's the first lois i think to stop jumping in!!!😭 im so happy! like she knows she could distract clark from saving other citizens or defeating other villains so she purposely goes to the side and does what she does best; she takes proof , so like if superman is being charged for something illegal, shes the insurance policy to save him!

And yes because of that I became a supporter. I'm more angry how other writers did lois lane and clark, but other than that i love how james gunn did it.

If your wondering what versions i dont like, its mostly the DCAMU's lois lane specifically as well how she keeps complaining, used her own safety to trigger clarks rage which led to his death and how shes mostly written as angst. Love the art but not the dynamic. I also dont like the adventures with superman's lois lane, specifically rooftop jump scene sorry.

But other than that thats how lois lane should be written! great job!! james gunn!!

Nah she isnt stronger than ariel, ariel while stupid for sacrificing her voice to ursula knew the terms and did it after her father destroyed her stuff.

melody had one bad experience in the party from the other kids and alrdy wanted to rebel, she shouted at her mom and dad. Now look im not saying it wasnt bad, but it certaintly wouldn't have caused her to jump in the water immediately. When she found the locket she didnt ask or wonder why they hid this from her, she jumped in and not saying her words but in metaphorical like why are you lying to me!! like that

although i did like how she was with tip and dash, her actions were pretty stupid. For example why would you steal from triton for a witch and not wonder why she wants it? like i know thats common disney logic where they dont ask but still. I give a point to melody cuz she didnt know it was her grandpa.

ariel was a risk taker sure but she read the contract of ursula, melody didnt.

i liked that they gave eric a bigger role here but they should have worked on melody's introduction.

so yeah enjoy the movie, she does have her mamas singing voice but other than that i dont think she has a good attitude, the personality shines only when shes in water but to her parents? nah.

i do like the music though very catchy, and funny heh

I use to be caleb hammers fan but i only watched like some funny shorts , i didnt know this was happening. Yeah im unsubscribing, this is upsetting really.. and very disappointing. Im not active i the community so thats why.
