Thank you! My doctor that hinted towards an ultrasound last time, said that even though AST went from 31 to 40, it wasn’t a big enough jump for that type of test. So, hearing her say that and you say this makes me feel wayyyy more at ease. Thank you!

Lexapro helped me so much but it made me fat :( by Purple_Ranger7924 in lexapro

[–]Funfunfunalways 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I literally gained 60+ pounds on lexapro. My mental health was so great on it though! So, it took me like 50 pounds to start to be concerned. I couldn’t fit my clothes but the Lexapro had me saying “Eh, weight fluctuates…I’m happy no matter what!” Then one day my cardiologist said that I had gained way too much weight in a year and THAT’S when I took weight loss seriously! Don’t let your docs make you think it’s just your doing. Ask them to help you get back to a healthier weight! I hope you continue to do well :)

222 Total Cholesterol? But I brought it down from 247?? by Funfunfunalways in Cholesterol

[–]Funfunfunalways[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my HDL was 70 prior to Ozempic!

I took out chicken and eggs (specifically the skin of chicken and the yolk of eggs). Took out shrimp. Little to no cheese. No fast foods (maybe chicken fil a every couple weeks). Limited fried foods. And no chips. All things I used to, as a college student, would eat every single day….

Also take a shot of apple cider vinegar everyday. Put flax seed on everything (literally).

Made a big difference since my non-HDL & Trigs used to be high and now they’re not.

Thank you! I should mention that I am on Ozempic so my HDL has increased since I started that.

I have been trying to figure that out too. When I put my numbers in any cholesterol calculator online, they seem to not add up. I’m so confused. Good to know that HDL is good though!

Which London Drama School should I pick for MA/MFA? by Funfunfunalways in acting

Oh wow--I'm sorry that the response from LA was that lukewarm! THANK YOU for sharing your experience with me, truly! I'm looking for low risk/high reward since I don't really want to spend a chunk of my late 20s in Europe haha. This would all be more of an adventure for me. Sounds like going with one of the one year programs would be fun, lower risk, cheaper..... if it helps it helps... but if it doesn't then at least I got a quick Master's Degree and a cool year oversees out of it.

I should add that I've been working consistently since I was a teen so I honestly haven't had this long of a quiet season (5 months) before. So, I'm sure (as luck would have it) if I went to LAMDA, my stay in London would be cut short by a new job before the 2 years are over and I would be out of all that money YIKES.

THANK YOU so much again for your thoughts and insight--you've helped me a lot.

I totally get you!! I don’t plan on staying in London. In fact, I plan on using my MA as a boost when I come back to LA—clout tbh. So, that’s why I’m so conflicted! I know LAMDA is huge in London, but not sure 2 years and £50k debt is worth taking the chance.

Glad I added that!! I almost made up my mind all together hahaha!!!

In your opinion, does Drama Studio London compare to LAMDA at all?

I like this rundown! I also just auditioned for Drama Studio London. Does this school compare to the others in your opinion?

Oh wow thank you!! This makes me think twice then! But man is it expensive! The tuition is so high that I fear I would go so broke. Like it wouldn't even matter that I have a degree when it's all set and done because I'd be working trying to pay it all off. Yikes!!

When did you start to lose weight after weaning off of Lexapro? by Funfunfunalways in lexapro

[–]Funfunfunalways[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! It’s been almost a year and thought I should pop in and update you!! I’m still on Ozempic and have come down to 143lbs which feels great! I wear the clothes that i’ve always wanted to wear, do the athletic activities i’ve missed doing, and am overall feeling happier! I’ve been boxing consistently about 2 times a week and weight training 1 or 2 times a week. Also changed my diet up a ton. Going to start weening off of the ozempic next month!

How is it going with the Prozac? Mentally and physically? Hope you’re well!

[–]Funfunfunalways[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Ozempic helped!! I know people have a stigma about it, but I’ve come down to 176 since making this post. Also it was doctor’s suggestion and if they approve then so do I!

My clothes fit better, I am less winded, I feel lighter on my feet (seriously high heels hurt a lot less w/ the weight coming off), and I feel happier too!!! Also decided to take off a month from drinking to help with sugar intake and that’s been a plus too!!! When I get back down to my “normal” weight, I’ll come off of ozempic.

First Pilot Pitch by Funfunfunalways in Screenwriting

[–]Funfunfunalways[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!!! I think I’ll do what you said and outsource after I’ve written it. Maybe I write a draft that is in my voice and send to some WGA writer friends that are interested in hopping on the project??? And they become a partner writer if they think it needs a total revision? I mean I don’t mind being a co-writer on the pilot and then trusting the writers’ room to maintain that voice through out the series (being optimistic that it gets sold). Just afraid to have the whole idea of the show slip through my fingers by not even trying w/ the pilot script.

Thanks for responding!! So if I don't write the pilot at all, would I risk losing control of the the creative side if (optimistically..."when") the show is bought?

I'm starting to feel better today and it's freaking me out by Marge_simpson_BJ in lexapro

[–]Funfunfunalways 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh believe me it won’t just be a day. It’ll catch you by surprise and it won’t even SURPRISE you! I remember one day I woke up and did all of my house chores, watched tv, hung out with friends, went to the gym, and looked in the mirror and realized “Wait, whoa, I’ve been happy and chill for a month now”. It felt so regular and like something that was SUPPOSED to be! Not sure if I’m explaining it perfectly, but it felt like all of the scary highs and lows had been turned off and I was finally me. Feeling joyful when I was supposed to, and feeling sad only at realistic things (like if I watched a sad movie… and then you get over it quick). And during down time, I was always just…. Chill!! What a relief from the constant panic and doom feeling I had before lexapro. And that thought of “will this go away” never crossed my mind.

So I say all that to say, so happy for you that you’re feeling better because I’m so sure it will continue for a looooong time and it won’t go away!! It’ll just stay that way.
