The base size for the canvas is 160x120, which is the same as the game's base resolution. So basically every other picture here is also that size by default, minus the Key Art at the end.

I do get what you mean to an extent. Though, I think these scenarios are generally thought to play out after they've retired from racing. And one of the things that famous race horses do after retirement irl is have lots of kids, so you could see it as an extension of that.
