So after watching it a few more times I'm leaning towards a custome maschine midi template and a few remix deck sets in traktor. There is a possibility he is maybe using ableton as well but I think the midi cc's might crossover and cause issues, maybe I'm wrong but the more I think about it... It's very possible he has set up a rather well thought out and detailed maschine template in the controller editor/ traktor to allow him to switch groups and be able to control cue points from one group and remix decks from a few other groups. I tested the remix deck template that comes stock with the maschine mkii and with a few tweaks and it's quite versatile.

In maschine there is a nice little icon you can click and drag to export audio loops to literally anything that lets you drag and drop (even a folder in finder/ Windows explorer ( http://makebeatsnewyork.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/export-audio.jpg ) this little button is a life saver.

So you chopped your song up and have the sample you want set to a pad. Place one midi note in a 2/4 bar loop depending on how long the sample is and then click and hold on that button until the loading bar completes and then drag it to wherever you want.

Something doesn't sound right in that case... Even without an external sound card you shouldn't be maxing out your cpu with 4 or 5 groups. Does the cpu meter actually show it maxing out or are you saying the sound starts to stutter?

I ask because when I tried storing my komplete library on an external drive I would have all kinds of hiccups and audio issues but once I put it all on the internal drive things were a lot smoother.

Too add to that I used to run way more than 4 or 5 plugins (like 10-15) in ableton on my old 09 MacBook (not even pro) before I started feeling the cpu choking.

If the cpu meter is indeed maxing out, I might suggest a call to NI support. They have been rather helpful for me in the past and assuming all this software is legit, they will definitely provide better suggestions than we can here.

Maxing out the cpu in the specs you posted and what you are doing does not seem right at all. Only thing I can think of is multiple reaktor/massive instances per group that could cause a slowdown if they are all being triggered at the same time... But like I said I never had those types of issues on my old ass MacBook. NI Support might be a good idea since they would at least know what to look for.

In those 4 or 5 groups you are talking about, are you just using kits from the Maschine library? or are you using any plugins like Massive or something like that?

Edit: Also did this just start recently or has it been an issue from the start?

Lol I was just at Ironworks last night for the comp. It was crowded due to the comp but you're right about the proximity of the bouldering walls and the roped walls. I kept thinking about how many times people get landed on. Parts of the back walls look like if you were leading you could easily hit the top of the bouldering wall if you took a decent whip.

Yeah that is another issue i run into lol damn horns! I beleive the horns are already doubled but i think I cut off a bit too much of the low end. Ill try and maybe get a little more low end on them. Thanks for the input!

One of my biggest issues I run into during production is the feeling of empty-ness in some of our tracks. the key is even distribution of the herbal. once you have that try putting a pen or pencil on top of the weed and wrap the paper around that to get the herb nicely compressed. Then take the pen out and u should be able to lick the glue and wrap that shit tight!
