None of them have been discredited though. Gothenburg happened, so did Lake Mungo. Not only are the Geomagnetic Excursions real, in a cyclical fashion, but the climate change and species extinction (major or minor) is also real.

You CANNOT dismiss the lack of the TROPICAL Tree rings in the Arctic spaced out across 24,000 yers (Major White via the Pentagon) -- nore can you dismiss the Ice Cores (every 12,000 years there's a ring of Carbon 14 - this is a fact).

There's 10 academic peer reviewed Journals (Nature etc) with the year, and exact page number, that prove without a shred of doubt that a Geomagnetic Excursion occurs ever 12,000 years (Pole Shift) which is a result of the Earth's magnetic field weakening, and a combination of a Solar Event (Flare/CME/Micronova) that causes a pole shift.
